I am looking for some advice on finding a cheap flight for myself, DH and DS (3) to MCO. We are leaving in February of 2005 for 10 days. We live in Toronto and would like to fly out of YYZ, but would consider travelling to Buffalo to fly from there if it is worth it. I am collecting Airmiles and originally thought we would use those for the flight, but I can also purchase Park Hoppers with the airmiles and it might make more sense to pay for the flight with cash if I can find a cheap one and use the airmiles for the PHs. You still have to pay all the taxes and stuff on the flight purchased through airmiles which would probably be about $200. So, if anyone has any tips for finding a cheap flight, good website etc., advice or experience with airmiles I would appreciate it.

I think the best price you will get is flying out of Buffalo. It is amazing the difference in the taxes.

I originally got $700.80 US for 4 (all adult prices) through Southwest Airlines and both non stop flights. That worked out to $978 Canadian with the exchange. A week ago the prices briefly went down to $540.80 US and I called and I got a refund...not even a credit for future flights I got a refund of almost $200 Canadian.

There is also a Holiday Inn Express near the airport that is $89.00 which will include your parking for 10days, continental Break and shuttle to the airport.

I am not sure however if the rates are avail for when you want to go but might be worth waiting for.

Use expedia.ca or travelocity.ca and keep checking you dates...I'm sure that you will find a flight from Buffalo that is affordable...MUCH cheaper than Pearson.
PS if you are not comfortable booking online...print the itinerary and take it to your travel agent.

I just got a great deal out of Toronto with West Jet. It was cheaper than any flight I could find out of Buffalo(I was shocked). We're going boxing day so I was pleasantly surprised to get a deal. Check out www.westjet.ca.
