When you deadhead a fushia do you only take off the spent flower or do you take off the flower and the bulb-type thingy it is attached to?
I just give my plant a good shaking every now and then, if there are any seed pods I remove them. Wish all the plants were that easy. I'm a faithful deadheader and I hate this task, but I hate spent-flowers. So every morning with a bucket and shears it's my first chore.

I hadn't thought about shaking the plant. Good idea Mamu. I'll get to it right after I fertilize. :p

Oh, no flowers on my fushia, and I had been so proud that I kept it over the winter. It's green, and hanging on my fence where I can see it, that's about all I can say.
I come to this board to see lovely flowers!
