How do I get Disney Club discounts?

I've heard that if I pay $40 to become a Disney Club member, I can save 20% on my 5 day park hopper passes. I've already made reservations for a trip in June, so I know I can't apply the discount to my reservation, but is it true about the park hopper discount? Would I get a discount on a visit to Typhoon Lagoon also? How much of a discount? And how do I purchase the Disney Club membership? Thanks for any help you can give me.

The pass discounts vary. If you want water parks, then you'll need the hopper plus. You can join at their website:Disney Club (http://disneyclub.disney.go.com/)

You may be able to still get a discount on your room if you join. Call 1-800-933-3975(i think) and ask about joining on the phone. Once you join, they will give you a membership # I think by e-mail within 48 hours. then call back and ask if they have rooms using you DC discount. If they do, just transfer your res to the DC rate.

The Disney Club discount on passes is only about 5%. You can also buy passes at the Disney Store and use your Disney Club Card for the discount. You also get a 10% discount on most merchandise at The Disney Store. There are also some discounts on food & merchandise at WDW. Check here for details:

If you are a AAA member the discounts on hoppers are pretty much the same as the disney Club discounts.
