The pictures of the beach pool at PB look awfully hot - like there is NO shade! What about RPR?? And the villa pool at PB? I think HRH might have some shade.
If anyone know, please post. I am a little worried about the beach pool at PB.

You may want to look into renting a cabana at one of the resorts. That is what we are doing when we go in August. They are $100 for the whole day and they include drinks, fruit, chairs, and the servers will serve you in your cabana.

If a cabana is stretching your budget, we had no problem finding pool loungers with umbrellas nearby. I believe the umbrellas are attached to the small tables scattered about (not sure about this) but I know that as much of a sun worshipper as I am, I just couldn't stand to lay out in that scorching Florida sun for very long. Between the umbrella & a cool tropical beverage;) I managed...it was a struggle......oh how I wish I were back in Florida "struggling" again!:p

The beach pool is sunny. HRH is the best for shade. RPR is second.:sunny: :umbrella:

We spent the whole day in the shade last week at HRH. I actually moved to a chair in the sun for awhile while the rest of the family still hung out in the shade. It was great!!

When we were there in may I let the kids swim from about 7:30pm to 11:00 when the pool closed. The water was extremely warm and I was comfortably sitting in a lounge chair while they played. This works out great because most of the time when we got done with the parks the kids were too excited to go back to the room and settle down. Every night the kids managed to find a volleyball game going on. And they were never refused a chance to play.

Note: also I have seen a couple of posts that let you rent a cabana for just a half a day. And I think I remember someone saying that if you stayed on conceirge level you got a discount on the cabanas. But I could be mistaken about that. You can call royal pacific or hotel of your choice to find out.

I don't think there was a whole lot of shade at the Beach Pool or Villa Pool at the PBH.

I don't recall there being any shade really at the PBH Beach Pool, but they do have the big umbrellas to provide shade. We had no trouble getting one. It's shady under the bridge in the pool too. I guess you wouldn't want to stay there all day though huh?

You will find more shade and more big umbrellas at RPR pool. There are lots of trees at RPR and the pool area is so much bigger they are able to provide more umbrellas.
