Just wondering.....
I still think you can put a package together cheaper than that though don't you?
Airfare for 2.....$774
Buy annuals....Hotel (Moderate) $84 U.S per night
Annuals....not sure of price?
Still doesn't add up to $3,600+ for 2 AND you'd get full aeroplan miles...Tell me if I'm wrong

good ol' AC. always trying to get our $$!
as for the 500 aeroplan miles - perhaps those are on top as a bonus?

Could be an 'on top' bonus..never thought of that. Maybe they really are giving us something after all!;)

My hubby and I are staying at a moderate for 8 nights And the total with cancellation insurance is 3000 with the ultimate hopper pass. Does the package include insurance and ultimate hopper packages.
Not much of a deal. Actually if we took it we would be paying more.

I just booked today. I paid $749 USD for 8 nights at Port Orleans/ French Quarter. My airfare is $792 Canadian with AC for the 2 of us. I already have annuals...but I figure passes are around $400 Canadian each? I think I am being generous on that maybe...that adds up to $2600 Canadian total or thereabouts? Correct me if I am wrong? We are going Aug 9-17th by the way.
How does that add up?

Wow! Nice eh! You think you found a deal and you come to these boards and find out how wrong you are!
Do you have an Air Canada flight for $396 CDN each?!
Excellent rate-during my time frame (also 8 days) the cheapest rate I'm coming up with is $751.40 per person. I thought the $580 per person we booked at a couple of months ago was high.
What airport to resort transfer service are you using?

I paid $127 each way for each ticket, plus the lovely Gov't taxes of course! Plus, plus, plus...I could have paid $122 each way, but that is a Tango fare and I would have only been rewarded with 250 aeroplan miles each way on that fare. I booked the slightly higher one which is Economy and will receive full mileage points that way. It's not huge...but I want the full point allowance.
We'll use Mears shuttle service from MCO airport to the resort and back. I think they are $25 each way per person and Disney always send a coupon with the resort confirmation for $5 off each ticket each way.So, that's $80 roundtrip for the 2 of us. Sometimes I rent a car, depending what we want to do...it averages out maybe a bit more in price but I hate the aggravation of dropping it off on the way etc....Mears is very comfortable and reliable.

I'd love to have those fares-did you book with a TA or directly with AC (our dates/fares seem really expensive!)

Nope-best I can do online for us is $751. I'm thinking it's because it's a weekend (and Thanksgiving no less) rather than a weekday.

Keep checking though...I find they always start out high and drop after awhile. Are you interested in Jetblue or Southwest out of Buffalo? They often have some really good prices ..worth looking at anyways.

I have the same problem as you mom_rules. The cheapest I can find is about $490 and that's for a Tango fare too :( I was hoping that the price would come down but from what you're saying, it sounds like I'm better off booking now. I guess now that AC has their new fare categories, they don't do much discounting anymore.

I always wait until a few months max before. Air Canada often doesn't have the same fares 2 days in a row! They go up and down a lot!

bunnyfoo-I tend to agree with you. The closer you get to your date the less likely you may be able to get seats in the cheaper categories since they sell out more quickly. We need 4 seats and the best I could do was the econo category - all others were sold out. Now if I put in only 1 person-there are some seats available in the Tango and fun categories but really doesn't do me much good that way! Oh well-I'll just try to do better on rentals, limos and room rates etc.
