View Full Version : You've Gotta Try "Crocs" for Touring WDW

Crocs are a great summer shoe (heck, I 'll wear them all year long). They're styled like a European clog and made out of resin - they're so light that they float in water! The foot bed softens up with your body heat - I LOVE these things and think they'd be perfect for touring WDW. The colors are so cute (12 different ones to be exact) and they're inexpensive. You can look them up on Google under "Crocs Shoes." If you're like me and hate hot feet in the summer but can't walk all day in flip flops - these are great!! Hope someone else enjoys them - they have kids sizes too!!

Do you know the width on these?
viluvsdisney

I don't know the exact width but since they are unisex they run wider than the average shoe (especially for women). However, I have a narrow foot and don't find this to be a problem. The footbed reminds me of Birkenstocks. Hope this helps :earsboy:

How are the length on these? Are they average or do they run a little off on sizes.
I usually don't buy shoe online. Have had to return too many times because sizes run off a bit. But I do like the look.

The sizes run S, M, L etc. I fall in between sizes but don't mind the roominess of them. The idea is sort of like a flip flop comfort with a clog like appearance. The Croc website has a bunch of testimonials if you're interested in more info as well. I went out tonight a picked up a 2nd pair - they're just too cute, comfortable, and fun! :D

I found a dealer in my area and I plan on checking them out. How are they as far as keeping blisters away though? Do they tend to rub on your feet after walking long distances?

As far as sizing - I would bump up to the next size if you fall between sizes - I've seen people wear these with cute socks too (the next size up would allow room for that). And I didn't get any blisters from them, even on the first day and wore them for about 4 hours on day one. I would break them in though before making it a LONG WDW day ;) But what I love about them is they keep getting softer everytime I put them on and they are SO light - they even float in water! Which colors are you all intersted in? I got the khaki and light blue. I really like the pale yellow too :D Hope this helps! :wave2:

How dark is the khaki? It looks pretty dark in the pic
online. I love the red also. Heck, I love all of them!
Any idea on cayman and beach differences? I read
the online stuff about them. Which ones do you have?

I love all the holes across the top - really keeps feet cool :p The colors on the website show up a bit darker. The khaki color is really pretty - much softer shade then on the website. The light blue is the same way - not as bright as it appears online. You can also do a search on google for online vendors. I found mine for about $10.00 cheaper (with shipping included) then the official website for Crocs offers. Although if you stray off the official website you may not be able to find all the colors through another online vendor. I'm going to get ny DD5 a pair - they're just too cute!! :p

Well, you're a bad influence!!! There went all of the
money I made on Ebay yesterday!
I just went to the local vendor that I found on their
website. It was only like 10 minutes away. I bought
the black Beach model. They only had the Beach
model, but they were expecting a new shipment any
day of the Cayman and Nile. So, that will just give me
an excuse to go back and get the red ones. They
didn't have the red in my size today. I also really loved
the orange!
Thanks for the heads up.

I'm so glad you like them - sorry about depleting the Ebay funds - I bought mine with the online survey checks I got ;) I hope you love them as much as I do. Please let me know how they work out for ya! :earboy2:

My DD and I just bought a pair today from a local dealer and I've been wearing them since. We both love them! I'm so glad I found out about them before my trip in August. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. And will be great in the rain or on water rides - no squishy shoes to deal with. I can't wait to try them out at the parks. :cheer2:

These shoes look and sound awesome. I have already bought at least 5 pair of "comfortable" sandals this season that have disappointed me big time. LoL Could you tell me if they have a solid bottom and heel? I can't wear shoes that mush down when I walk on them. They may be great for some people but I have problems with my balance and I need firm support. Thanks a bunch for sharing the link.

Hi,
Cannot wait to try these shoes!!
Was just wondering if anyone out there would know the difference between their children's size 4 and the regular size XS which is a size 4-5...my daughter wears a childrens 4 but we were wondering if the XS would fit her as well? Anybody have a guess :)
Thank you!

I have gotta try these things! The Nile style looks right up my alley. The only trouble is that on there web site they only have xs, s, and m...I am sure I would need a large (in all colors)!
I only have one retail outlet near me, and it is a store that sells NUTS...I wonder if the retail outlets would have a larger size of this style, or if they even make it in a large.
I am going to Dallas Texas in a few days, and there looked like lots of retailers in that area
Anybody have the Nile style in a Large?????
thanks!

I got the Beach style and they are very true to size. I am a size 6 1/2 to 7 and I got the women's size 6-7. They fit perfectly. I don't know about the kids sizes though. I tried on the Nile style and found them to be a bit smaller and more narrow. I have a wider foot so they felt uncomfortable for me. I have plenty of room width-wise in the beach style though. They have a nice solid, but comfortable sole. I also need support and these seem to give it.

I cannot wait to try a pair of these shoes. They sound exactly what I am looking for. Something that will actually conform to my weird feet. LoL Thanks again!

I just did some searching and nobody seems to have the Nile any bigger than a medium, sorry.
Try doing a search for Tevas most go to an 11, maybe you will find something you like. Tevas have beem mentioned her on the DIS before, and thoes who have them say they are very comfortable.
Try www.footsmart.com and do a search for Teva

According to the Crocs website, The Nile in women's Large is coming this August. http://www.crocs.com/index.asp (There's a banner at the top of the page that keeps changing).

I rarely post any info promoting something - but I'm quite smitten with these shoes :lovestruc Iowagirl - you may want to try the Beach style as well as the Nile - I wear a women's 12 - so I know they fit "larger feet"...lol... These shoes do have a tred on the bottom - they're not flat like a flip flop. As far as the sizing difference for the kids shoes - I would think the big difference would be in the width. The Kids sizes are probally a bit narrower then the adults. These shoes are HOT commadities here in Colorado - so grab the ones you like when you see them. All it will take is a big name Celeb to wear them and you'll never be able to get ahold of a pair again :p Hope you all enjoy finding your Crocs - let me know what you think!! :earboy2:

I thought I would post a different opinion....
I made it to my local distributor, and they had tons to choose from.
I am glad I tried them on, because I would have been very disapointed if I had just ordered them online.
I wear a 9 1/2, and the medium clog style fit ok, but I could not wear the strap without my toe touching. The large was too big.
These really reminded me of the inexpensive rubber garden clogs...minimal arch.
I am really spoiled with the discontinued Nike sandals that I have and I guess I'll have scrounge every corner to try to find more of the Nike sandal that I love but they do not make any more.
Definitly make sure you get to a store to try these on.
My retailer did say she would order any style for me, charge the same as the web site, but with no shiping and handling fee. So she would have charged me just 29.95 for the Nile if I had wanted to order them from her.
