Has anyone been to this campground lately? We were looking for a campground, on the Atlantic, to finish up our vacation with. We want to be on the ocean, with beach access. We only found 2 campgrounds in the Daytona area that fit what we were looking for. Seaside RV Park & Ocean Village. We went with Seaside. I've heard that it has been closed for renovation recently. Anyone stayed here recently or know anything about it? Thanks in advance! :D

We have frequently stayed at Bryn Mar Resort (not sure if I spelled it correctly). It's south of St. Augustine and it's directly on the beach. Your camper could back up to the dunes if you're lucky to get a beach front site. It's a small campground but it's very clean - good stopover place for a night or two.

Another right on the beach campground is Gamble Rogers Memorial Park in Flagler Beach (North of Daytona). Have never personally camped there but have driven by and it is right on the beach.
You can reserve through Reserve America, this place is always booked in summer months, so reservations would be strongly suggested.

Another happy camper here for Bryn Mawr resort, stayed in site 229 and if doesn't get much better than a 20 sec walk to the beach! Also very resonable rate. ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::
Add that this was June 10, 2004 that we were there.
