I asked my wife - because she pays attention to those things - she says that they really frown on shorts at dinner.

We got our docs too. Can't believe it's just three weeks away!
We're having passport issues. Monday we got notes in the mail informing us that Natalie and Sophie's photos were too exposed and we needed to submit new photos. We had them taken at a Post Office passport center where we applied - you'd think they'd know what the requirements are! Anyway, we rushed to Costco and got much nice photos (and much cheaper - $5 compared to $15) and sent the application back in. I hope they get here in time since we had to turn in their birth certificates in with the application! There was a big note on the outside with the departure date so I'm guessing they'll process it pretty quickly. If not we'll have to go to the county office and get new birth certificates. Luckily Bob and I already have passports - we weren't born in San Diego and getting new birth certificates would much more of a pain.
We're trying to decide what time to get to the ship. It will take us less than two hours to drive there so we just need to decide when to leave.

Aggie00 - Please pm me with your name. I have DH's name and your DIS name but no name on the tag. I'm the one making the name tags. I'm leaving in a week and a half. Man time flew by. I always thought I had so much time and the time is almost here.
Bfayne- If you're out there PM me the names of the people traveling in your party so I can make you name tags too.
I'll see everybody in about 3 weeks.

Anyone interested in DIS tag? I think that's what you call it. You know where you put the green Dis Magnet on someone's door. Dawn researched it so I'll get more details from her if we're interested. I have the database from the name tags so I'll bring it along with me and I guess we'll get room numbers at the DIS meets if enough people are interested. Of course I'll make the magnet too.
Also, if someone is willing to organize a "cabin viewing" like they're doing on the repo cruise Dawn and I are willing to show our cabins. We're in a cat 11 on deck 7...if that matters. Dawn is really hoping for an upgrade.
O.K. so post and let me know what you think of both ideas.

I am hoping to find time to make magnets to decorate our door but we'll have to see. I'm in the middle of trying to finish writing my dissertation and I'm pretty overwhelmed right now. I'm sooo looking forward to taking a break on the cruise! I'm not sure what DIS tag is, though. Is it just tag with a door magnet?
We're in Cat 10 on deck 2. We had booked Cat 12 guarantee but our room assignment listed on the Disney site is at Cat. 10 so I guess we got a small upgrade. The split bath will be nice. Not sure DH would want me to invite everyone to our room but maybe once he meets everyone he'd be OK with it.
My girls are getting very excited, especially Natalie. Every time I'm on the computer she wants me to show her the cruise site and all the things she gets to do!

Hi fellow cruisers...
I am all for DIS tag and even have a great program and magnetic paper for my printer to make the mickey head (as DIS green as I want too!). So, check it off the list. :earsboy:
We are in a Cat. 9, deck 2. So far from what I know, we have people in 6,9,10, and 11. I would love to see a cat. 7 navigators Verandah...Anyone?
Still no docs yet. But that doesn't mean time has stopped! :hourglass
We still have less than 3 weeks!!!

We're on deck 7 in a category 5 with a verandah and would love to take tours of other categories (especially a 1, 2 or 3) and DIS tag sounds fun. My granddaughter is bringing COlorado keychains to trade with the other kids (big or small). We will be in Disneyland from June 8th until we board on the 11th; is anyone else going early? :hourglass

We're (lkohawaii and I) are bringing postcards and key chains. :goodvibes lkohawaii will be at DL from the 6th, and me from the 8th. My in-laws live in CA so they'll be coming down for a visit while we're there. Which hotel are you staying at Grandma Debby?

Grandma Debby...we may be close to you since we're on deck 7 also. How many key chains are you bringing. Dawn and I keep going back and forth on how many to bring. We don't want to bring too little but don't want to bring to many either.

Now . . . sounds like some fun things are getting started! Please let me know the quanity of key chains/post cards we should bring. My daughter would love the key chain x-change, as the kids have oodles of them hanging from their backpacks.
Dis-tag sounds like fun too. On the Repo cruise there were some talking about a thing they hung on their door to put notes and goodies in. ?? If they made it, I don't have the time, but sounds like fun. The magnet would be as well, just have it traveling from stateroom to stateroom. Those little surprises really are a kick! Stinamom, did you see the photo of one in the signature on a frequent poster on the May Repo Thread? It's too cute. If not let me know, and I'll try to find it again.
Having a tour would be cool as well, I'm fine with that. We're Catagory 4 deck 8.
After reading the repo cruise thread, sounds like the Pacific can be a bit rougher than the waters of the Caribbean. Perhaps we'll bring Meclizine this time. We never needed it in the past. Is anyone getting a patch? On our last 2 Magic cruises, there was only one time that I felt any movement of the ship at all, and it was very slight.
Been shopping a bit, and doing some gathering, in pre packing planning stage. LOVE it that we're not flying this time.
Toodles,
Tami

Dawn and I keep going back and forth on how many to bring. We don't want to bring too little but don't want to bring to many either.
We’ll be bringing key chains and post cards from Utah. Good question .. How many to bring? Can everyone post the number of kids you have that will participate? We have 2 girls Ages 10 and 12 who will love doing this. Our oldest will go with the flow.
Cabin numbers and tour: Ikohawaii – If everyone PM’s you their cabin number, can you add that to your database and print everyone a list? We’re in 6603, 6605, and 6607
We’re in a cat. 11 and would love to tour other categories. We have the secret porthole rooms reserved for our cruise next year and would love to see those if anyone is in one. I’ll organize the tour if everyone wants to do one. Thoughts…. It looks like the repo cruisers had to sign up a before hand. That would help to organize this. That way we would know what categories we can look at and who would be attending. Once we see the navigators from the first west coast cruise, we can pick a time. I’ll organize it if you are all game.

Our DD will be into exchanging key chains etc . . . Our DS, 14.5 will go with the flow as well. So figure 1 kid for Tikihut4 for the exchange. I'll PM our stateroom # to Ikohawaii, I think a tour would be fun. As long as it doesn't take too much time.
Just made our Palo ressies today. Thursday evening, late!
Have a great day everyone.

Yes, Monstro....I knew someone would come through for us. I checked Pm's before reading our thread..and was wondering why everyone was Pm'ing me their cabin numbers. Of course I'll put it in the database. Stinasmom is keeping a journal of cabin types...so maybe she can help you out with the actual organization and exactly what cats we have. She is awesome. I was wondering how she knew the cats we had. O.K. and starting a thread of number of kids is probably a good idea too. I can't figure out how to keep it updated. I'll try when I get home.
So, everybody...PM me your cabin number if you want to participate in a "cabin tour" I'll give the list to Monstro and also if you want to participate in DIS tag PM also so I can give that list to Stina's mom.
Oh, and everybody...I leave next Wed. 6/1 so can you PM me soon. Diszneygirl I got your names...I didn't change the color on our thread but I will.
So we have DIS tag, Cabin tour and "gift" exchange for the kids. What more are we going to do????

I feel like my head is about to explode. I have to clean up my classroom, get my report cards done, and pack all in the next week and a half. I'll really need this vacation.

We are bringing 35 keychains because I counted about 28 kids on ikohawaii's post #235 - told Sierra she could give extras to her friends :teeth: Can't wait for two weeks although we leave on the 3rd for San Diego the Disneyland before we board the boat and we have to FLY and pack it all so I'm planning on visiting the laundry room down the hall from my room on Sunday or Monday :guilty:

Grandma Debby....what a coincidence! At least I know we have nice neighbors. :wave2: We are very quiet. You'll only hear us if my DH decides to sing in the shower! :rolleyes1 And we don't smoke, so you won't have to worry about smoke floating around the corner to your balcony! Now hopefully both of us have nice quiet neighbors on the other sides of us.

Sorry, have just been covered up with work and end of the school year. I was out of town a week and been building a deck so no computer time. I pm'd lkohawaii with our names so if they didn't come over, let me know. I have to leave this Sat for 5 days in Puerto Rico (I love my job) and haven't even begun to pack for the cruise. The kids and I will fly to CA on June 8th. We plan to visit friends in San Bernadino/Riverside (I was stationed there for 6 years), and then spend Friday at Disneyland. I am renting a car at the airport (LAX) but am concerned with getting to the port after I return the car to the airport. Does anyone have a suggestion. Is there a shuttle? I will also have to get back to the airport on Sat, as our flight leaves about 3:30. Don't really want to spend all my money on Taxis and I didn't see a car rental place near the port to drop off there.
We are late dining (we prefer that, have had on our previous 4 disney cruises) as 6 is just too early to eat. I have never had trouble with my kids and the other teens on the ship and have allowed them to be out fairly late. I reared them well and hope they behave. So far we may not go on any excursions, choosing a leasurily rest. Matter of fact, we prefer the sea days. Besides Mexico is Mexico, but we will tour the towns at least. We are on deck 2 cat 11 (2603) inside split bath. Have had in the past. We paid extra for a window the first year, but we're rairly in the room so the inside is great. Besides, it is dark and we can sleep late. :-).
Again if anyone is more familiar with the port area and rental cars in area, please let me know. I haven't received my documents yet either so hopefully in the next few days. I do believe the formal night is usually Sunday and I have my own tux and usually rent one for my son. He seems to enjoy the attention. By the way, the only trouble I have had with my kids on the cruise is the video game room. They can rack up quite a bill if you don't limit it. The easiest thing is to not give them carge priviledges. It is east for them to spend $40+ a day since the games were about $1 each. At least I understand that softdrinks are now included.
This cruise is the best thing we do and I hope it is not the last, those of you who haven't been will certainly enjoy it. I plan to send our photo tonight. Look forward to meeting all of you.

There is a Disney shuttle from the airport. It is listed on the addendum to the Documents. I'd Call disney to get times and prices. Our friends are renting a car for a couple of days as well. The rental agencies do not allow cars to be dropped off at the port.
I agree this is the best family vacation out there. We already have our September 2006 booked. Best to rebook when you are on board.

Hey guys! Welcome to the board! All I can say is ... Yeah!!!! :Pinkbounc
Almost all of our party is represented. The easiest way to PM Lkohawaii is to click on her name. Remember to include the kids names - she is making name tags for the cruise meet. You decide if you want to include your parents. We included ours.
Speaking of the cruise meet - are we having the kids exchange the key chains and post cards at the cruise meet? If so I would not pack them in your luggage - put them in your carry-on bag. There is a good chance that our luggage (your luggage) will not be delivered to your stateroom by that time.

Good Quetion Jeff (Monstro) when are we doing this Key chain exchange. Maybe Deb (Ppiglet) knows since she's on the Repo thread a lot. Deb....do you have any suggestions. I was thinking maybe at our sailaway would be good. Jeff you've sailed so many times maybe you could tell us. Some of us have early dinner so is it better to do it at the sailaway or is that too close to dinner. Or should we do it on Sunday. I don't know what it's like on board and how tight everybody's schedules will be. We'll figure something out. We've gotta figure out the cabin tour time also. Dawn suggested we do it before we unpack and make too much of a mess.
Also, has someone kept track of the amount of kids? A couple of people have asked how many to bring and we've had new "friends" added. If nobody posts I'll ask Dawn (Dawnie)...she's good at keeping track of those things. Also, are we exchanging key chains and post cards or one or the other?

Oh, forgot to mention to those new to the thread. Part of the fun of the DIS tag is seeing everybody's door signs. Their are threads about door signs. I'll ask Dawnie (Dawn) to find it and post the link.

I'm seeing a lot of hits to our picture sight. I think everyone is studying names. :) I know I am. Let me know if any of you need the password.
RPHUGA and crew can be seen in picture #11 with us on our second cruise. Their girls are also in pictures #7 and 8. I'll get names added to those pictures tonight.
I think the earlier in the cruise that we do the key chain/postcard exchange the better. It will help the kids get to know each other. The sail away party will have a lot of activities going on - I suggest we start it at the cruise meet and let them go with it from there. If that's is the case, everyone should pack the exchange gifts seperate - maybe in a carryone backpack and let the kids bring them to the cruise meet.
By the way - we are getting a mixture of zipper pulls, key chains, and post cards. Each of my girls will have 25-30. I think Grandma Debbie made the point that they will make other friends on the cruise as well. If they have extra, they can always give them to other new friends.

O.K. Jeff...so at the cruise meet it is I guess. Everybody pack your goodies in your carryon. We will be able to get into our cabins before the cruise meets right? Just that our luggage may not be there. Oh, this is getting so exciting.
Yes, some of those hits on the albun are me. I'm really trying hard to put faces and names together. Watch onboard I'm so excited that I forget. Well, I have to pass out nametags..so I guess I get to cheat a little.

I know we are going to need one and being a first time cruiser, I just had to ask. We were just going to bring one of those easy fold-up ones, nothing big.
Thank you! ::MinnieMo

Hi all!
Thought I'd check in. Great to see new people joining the crew!'
We live in a small town and I haven't found keychains or anything appropriate that represents our area, so, for the kids' gift exchange I got bubbles---they are small vials shaped like sea creatures and butterflies that are on a necklase with a small wand attached to the underside of the cap. I thought that all the kids could then blow them at the sail away. Since they are on necklases, we won't get stuck holding them when we are all dancing  ! They are fairly small too, so any mess on the deck should be minimal. Hope that is ok with everyone!
I, too, am quite excited to meet all of you! My DD8 is just counting down the days she has left of school (she gets to miss the last 6!)
I bet I am the only one who hasn't gotten their docs yet! Oh well. Certainly will not use again or recommend this TA to anyone! (MIL originally booked this...I would have done better research!!)
We will be at DL after the cruise, June 20,21,22. Anyone else?
bye!

Just saying hello. Nine school days left!
Marcy, we're going to Disneyland this weekend! I can't wait to see the new fireworks. I hear that it is amazing.
We haven't received our documents either. We booked through DCL. I initially booked online, and then rebooked in December when I was on the Magic. I called DCL earlier this week and they said that they mail them 14 days out. Quite interesting since a lot of people have received documents. Oh well...
Have a great weekend!

We have never had to take a stroller until now, but I have seen many people on board with strollers. The small umbrella stroller will probably work just fine. Depending on the age/weight of the child, you may also want to bring one of those carriers that you wear and the child sits in it (forgot what you call it). How old is your child? Ours is 7 months old; a boy named Avery.

Hey Monstro!
My goal this weekend is to get my neighbor to take a picture of my family so I can send it to you. Sorry it's so late!
lkohawaii and I have been busy making our mags. We've had 1 year to do it, but what do we do? We wait until the last minute so we can go CRAZY!!! :earseek: Which we have been doing! We're both trying to finish up at school, she leaves on Wednesday, so she has less time than I do. :teeth:
What are you all doing in case of sea sickness? Heard they had some rough water on the Repo Cruise. My doctor gave me pills, he didn't want me on the patch. Lkohawaii's doctor gave her the patch. What about sea sickness for the kids?
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you, and can't wait for this trip! Actually, now that it's right around the corner, it's coming too fast! :rotfl2:

It will be here very soon!!! I added names to picture number 11 in our album. That is RPHUGA and family with Dis-mom and dad in the picture with us.
My trick to keep my kids from getting sea sick is to change the subject if any of them bring it up :) Get them thinking about something else. It's woked a couple of times. We've never had any real problems.

O.K. everybody...I just want you to know that I've been bugging Dawn for weeks to take a picture of her family...she just keeps dodging me. So, hopefully before I leave she'll get her picture posted on Monstro's album. Yes, the time is creeping closer. Our motto these days is "Tick Tock, Tick Tock. We'll get our stuff done somehow. We may not sleep for the next few days but it'll all be worth it once we get on that boat. Today as we went past our harbor we saw our local cruise ship. It's probably half the size of the Magic. That really got me excited to leave. I can't imagine what Dawn would be doing right now if she had seen it.

Hey guys,
Contrary to rumors that we were swept away by a Sunami, we are really here. We've been silent because, well, DD #2 just got engaged, so we had to switch gears to plan engagement party and thing wedding thoughts. I think they should just go on a cruise and get married at sea.
Anyway, lots of excitement. GD Simone (3.5) packed yesterday, since her Mom and Dad are leaving in a few days, and I don't think thereis a "princess dress" not in her suitcase. GS Quinn is pleanty excited too, and it's a blast for us listening to them talk about this cruise and they have no idea what's in store.
Got our docs. We sent info for Dis tags and tour. We are also bringing a stroller, because ships are big, and weather can be warm and kids are kids.
Anyone have any idea how many keychains/postcards are needed for our group?
Anyone have any ideas about the little kids on formal nights? Any of the little boys wearing suits? My GS (age 6) has some nice button down shirts, but that's about all. Do we need to get fancier than that?
Is anyone bringing laptop? I always travel with mine, and wonder if there is a possibility of getting on line with my computer anywhere? Anyone know the deal?
Looking forward to seeing all. Will try to stay on board this week. Working next weekend.

Very good information! It is at:
http://allearsnet.com/cruise/dcl_west.shtml
It looks like we are not in store for any other "theme" nights besides Pirate, semi, and formal. At least I know I don't have to pack anything too unusual (ie. bell bottoms or a poodle skirt!) Also, it was advised to pack pants or sweats and a sweatshirt as their first sea day was actually cold!
Sure wish we were going to get the kind of send off this first WC cruise did! Oh well, I will be just so happy to be on the ship!
See you all soon!

Hey fellow Magical mystery tour sailors.......
I am reading some of the threads from the ongoing maiden voyage from San Pedro, and I realize that non-californians usually think California is like Florida. Just ain't so.
This time of year, 50's in the early AM and PM. 59 degrees outside right now, and we live at the beach near Malibu. Daytime high today at the beach was 77. Humidity is essentially nil (less than 30%).
Advice: Bring Sweats and long pants for the first day. It will get warmer as we head south, and by second day it will be warm most of the day. Still, this is not like Caribbean. It is not usually humid at all, so the evenings will be cooler. You won't need jackets, but you'll be comfy.
Of course, after all this advice, my little GD Simone would not let us pack a single pair of pants, because they don't "twirl". Girls are girls smentines, and this one is just like her Mom was at her age.
See you all in about 12 days.
We'll be driving down at about 11AM.

Is anyone familiar enough with the places we are going in Mexico to give advice on excursions? We have booked excursions for all 3 places and I'm wondering....with a 2 year old and 4 year old, what are the best ones to do? I just don't want to spend all this money on excursions and find it was better to stay on the ship and just do our own thing once we get there. I've never been to Mexico before so I am very excited. We are doing the Pirate Sail and Snorkel, a Tequila, Saddles and Huarachas tour in Mazatlan a snorkeling tour in Cabo. However, my parents are taking the little ones to a resort that day for us because they are too little. Any advice on tours with little ones? I hope I booked good excursions because they are pretty pricey!
Jeff, glad you got the pictures. That's neat that Marissa looks like your daughter when she was little. Hope to be able to meet her. Will she be hanging out in the "teen" area? That's where my oldest will be, too.
Thanks!

Dianna,
We've been to Mexico many times. The best bet with kids that age ( 2 and 4) is a beach. Best to have some place with beach and pool, and there are anumber of resorts that Disney has set up with (see excursions). You will be able to find a load of vendors at the pier or wherever we get off tenders. They will be selling, selling, selling, so take your time and go over to tour agency area. There will be pleanty of them.
This brings me to a point......if you speak Spanish, try to converse in Spanish. There is a higher level of respect and admiration that comes with speaking in their native language, even if you butcher it (as I do). Marilyn is fluent (she taught bilingual special ed for years), and it helps a lot.
Another point: If you are going to beach, Marilyn just bought a "waterproof beach blanket" that is good "family size" and collapses nicely. If you are going to beach with kids, you will need this. She got it at Costco, and when I get home I will check the manufacturer and get back to all. Also, should have one or two collapsible bags (or a backpack) with kids 2 and 4
Everything is open to negotiation in Mexico. Never forget that. Therefore, be patient and enjoy the process of setting up a day tour. There is everything you could want available.
Back to the kids....Cabo is known for resorts. We wanted to snorkel but didn't get in on the excursion from Magic. Looks like all booked for now. I was going to go with Quinn (6) and Marilyn was going to go to the beach with Simone (3.5). Kids + Beach always = success. At 2 and 4 you can take them to a beach where you can also do horseback riding (adults). You will find a beach with parasailing (adults). All this and the kids are ok too. I am checking into snorkling "vendors" but am sure I will find more than one waiting for the Magic.
Hope this helps.

Hello everyone,
The name of the "roll up blanket" I was talking about is "The Neat Sheet". You can go to theneatsheet.com for their website or call 1-800-457-9659. It's pretty cool, and looks like a "tarp" and says it repels sand and water, and is cloth-like and stays cool in the hot sun.
It looks like it can easily be fit flat in a suitcase. Cost was $10.00

Dizneygirl,
If you are booked on an excursion you don't want - you need to cancel it at least two days before the cruise. Otherwise - you could be charged for it. I'm sure Disney could find someone to take your spot, but they could also play hardball and charge you.

Hey! We are the friends of Monstro from GA. This is our 6th DIS cruise. We have taken motion sickness tablets with us each trip, but have never had to use them. The boat is so big the movements are small. It will give you sea legs for a few days though.
The original Dramamine is good, but it can cause drowsiness. It is closely related to Benadryl. Meclizine is a better medication. It is less sedating. It is sold under the names Bonine, Antivert, and Dramamine Less Drowsy Formula. The thing to remember is that meclizine is a lot better at preventing motion sickness than it is at treating the symptoms. Usually you take one dose an hour before you start the activity. It can last for 12 to 24 hours. After that you just take it once a day. It is OTC. You should be able to get it in a chewable and a liquid. I have bought both at Wal-Mart.

RPHUGA gave the sage advice of a pharmacist. Right on.
The patch is to be avoided by everyone except those with severe motion sickness. Blurred vision is one complication, nausea and dry mouth are the other.
Bonine works great (meclazine) and rarely causes drowsiness in adults, bu the dry outh is almost always universal to the antihistamines. I agree with RPHUGA, the ship is so big you will hardly notice....but that being said, we always take them too.

RPHUGA, We are not worried too much about the weather here. It gets much cooler in NorCal than in SoCal. A good thick sweatshirt and a spring jacket (windbreaker) will suffice - that's what we're packing. We've been watching the weather forecast and it seems like it shouldn't be too cold.

We may be joining Shellback in Latin dancing at 4:30, but this depends on our grandchildren and their activities.
I pack in short bursts, since I have been working all weekend and am working all week. Shirts today. Socks yesterday. The only real danger of this is I may forget an entire category. They guy with no pants or no underwear...that'll be me! Wish me luck. Maybe a check list..........

Hello all,
Interestd in the cabin tour? I propose we do it at 4:10 on Monday. The Navigator has the following activiteis listed for that time.
3:30 Family Animation with Don Ducky Williams.
4:00 Informal Basketball play for families.
4:30 Latin Dancing.
for those of you interested in catching Do Williams, I'd erecommend the 11:00 Presentation of behind the scenes.
Any thoughts on 4:10 Monday? I'll work up the meeting time and the path we'll take. My goal is to hold this to 30 minutes.
Jeff
Thanks Jeff for organizing this. You know, I may try to get Tim go to the Latin dancing, sounds like fun! Can we make it a bit earlier? Perhaps 3:15 or 3:30? 30 minutes sounds great!
Thanks,
Tami

Will anyone care about missing Bingo? Bingo is from 3:30 to 4:00. It's the only form of gambling on the Magic.
I can't wait to see you do that hot latin dance shellback. :) I'll bring the video camera.

Missing BINGO early in the cruise is just fine. I think I might wait until the end to play this trip. With a full ship the last BINGO should be a real good one.

Why is it there is never enough time. I was in Puerto Rico last week and I just started packing some tonight. Have to pack for my son too. We leave Wed Morning for LA. Looks like an all nighter on Tue. We have to drive to Atlanta to catch our flight and will spend a few days in LA. Going to Disney on Friday. Is anyone else going that day. I think Dawn from Hawaii is planning on being there. Everyone have a safe trip and we'll see "you all" on Saturday.
barry, Ashleigh, and Alex
Question; Are any of the teens wearing tuxes. I have gotten my son one in the past, but this year, the stores seem to want an unreasonable amount to rent. I'm running out of time!

It's almost midnight Hawaii time, am leaving in the morning and am still packing!! :rotfl: So why am I on the boards you ask? Just had to take a break, thought I could get away with 3 suitcases, am now up to 4 fully stuffed suitcases, and am thinking about bringing another one! YIKES!
This should be the last post for me before leaving. Monstro, whatever time you plan it will be fine, though I too am interested in the Latin Dancing.
Yes,bfayne, Lkohawaii (Sherri), Grandma Debby, and I will be at Disneyland on Friday. We're meeting on Thursday at Club Libby Lu 1pm. :earsgirl:
Until we all meet on board - 3:15 in the Promenade Lounge - or at the terminal - everyone wearing their lime green shirts?? :cheer2:

I just called Monday AM to order tux's for Tim (DH) and Keegan (DS-14.5), they were pretty darn accomodating. It's worth a try, if you're into it. I think it's fun to get all dress-up, our son's never worn a tux, so it will be fun for him. Oh, I called the cruiseline formal wear that came with our docs. They originally say 2 weeks, but the gal said they can do it much closer on the Magic.

We finally received Natalie and Sophie's passports so now we can get excited!!! I was imagining having to spend half the day at the county registrar's office to get new birth certificates. :earseek:
Can someone remind me of the meet schedule? We may have to miss the initial meet because I think we have to go to a seminar on food allergies (Natalie is allergic to peanuts). Wasn't there a second meet during the sail away party?
We tried to find things for the girls to trade but didn't have much luck. They found some light up rings they just had to have and give away. I was hoping to find time to go to the seashell shop but doubt that will happen.
See you soon!

Hey!
We just got through packing. It is 8 hours before our flight. It might sound last minute, but it is probably a record for us. I think we may be near the weight limit on our bags. Every time you turn around you see something else you think you might need.
Ya'll be careful on the way down. We will see you Saturday.

My family & I went to the port today to see the Magic leave San Pedro but we forgot our camera!! We were waving to everyone & wishing we could be onboard too. See you at the port on Saturday morning....

Probably because we were all so busy making noise onboard.
I just wanted to thank all of you for the truly magical time I had onboard. My expectaions when I booked this cruise was just not to have to chase characters around the park. I thought I would be sick of them by the time I got off the ship. Well, my character chasing is not cured but I got so much more out of the cruise because of all of you that I met here. Even got to tour a 2 bedroom cabin suite...hmmm wonder how that hapened? :goodvibes When I would read about Pixie dust and Magic on the threads I would think oh, they must be Disney fanatics. Well, now because of all of you I have experienced this magic and pixie dust for myself. It's kind of sad to be home but I know I have the memories.
I hope everyone has arrived home safely....oh, and after my family heard about the wonderful time we had aboard their question was why didn't we rebook for all of them with Danielle. So, I guess I really am going to be on the Magic again...or maybe the Wonder this time.
Some of us wanted e mails so we could keep in touch with our new friends. If you PM me your email I'll put together a database (on windows this time...right Jeff). and I'll e mail it to everyone once we get most of the addresses.
P.S. Did you know that Barry won a sketch from Stecia ( I know that's not how you spell it) and Deb was sitting with her the whole week at dinner and they each got sketches as a goodbye gift. Too bad it wasn't any of us who won that jackpot bingo huh!!!
So, until we meet again it's Hope, dreams, and pixie dust ( I can't remember the first 2 I just remember the pixie dust...someone correct me). A big thanks to Jeff and Deb who wouldn't let our thread die....without their persistance we wouldn't have had all the fun we did.
Oh, and somone who has a picture of us that we took on at the stairs after our cabin tour...can you e mail it to me. I'd love to have a copy to remember us all by.

Yes, we definately had a better time since we got to meet everyone there on board. It made everything just more special. We loved bumping into everyone every few hours or so and comparing what we had been doing. One of the best times we had on board was the cabin tour set up by Monstro! That was a blast! The only thing that could have made the cruise better, was sunnier weather! It was nice to come home to blue skies and warmth! I am still rocking though so I have those memories still. We took 1003 pictures, so plan to go thru them this weekend and relive the days!
Keep in touch everyone. I will PM Sherrie with email address.

I was going through withdrawl today so went I went through my 700 something pictures and downloaded them. I'm off to pick them up right now. I'm still rocking..but must say it is getting better. Dawn is still in Vegas probably winning her millions. Maybe if she leaves her zipper down she'll have some luck too. Maybe she'll read the boards and try it. :Pinkbounc

Did you print all 700? I took 1003 pictures and haven't even started sorting them yet. Maybe on the weekend. Gonna be tough trying to figure out which one to print. I'm not in most of the pictures because I had the camera the whole time.

You might have had your camera the whole time but I had mine most of the time and I have pictures of you that are on their way (if Jim or Tyler says you didn't get them I'll know that you sabotaged them) :rotfl2: - The picture you took with my camera of Sierra and me in our life jackets is wonderful and Sierra loved showing it to her parents. :goodvibes Thanks everyone for a great time! :cool1:

I had fun meeting you guys too! We had a wonderful (or should I say MAGICal) week. I think it was the perfect vacation for me. Natalie and Sophie had a blast, we got to eat nice meals every night without worrying they were disturbing the waitstaff or our neighbors (since they all had young kids themselves!), we didn't have to decide where to eat (just show up!), Bob and I got lots of alone time, Palo, Palo, Palo, every time we stepped out of our room it was cleaned, great shows, "free" room service (has anyone else's child begged them to play room service with them? I think Natalie is hooked and we have to convince her it's not something we do every day when we're on vacation :earseek: ), and the crew was just incredible.
Anyway, I would love a group photo. I'll PM you Jeff.
I can't believe you guys took so many photos! I'm usually a shutterbug but this time I just didn't get as into it. I have quite a few of the kids but almost none of the Magic!
