We got a surprise yesterday. Grad is next Friday, dh thought he had an "Admin" Day on Monday (28th) and then finished. Nope... technically there are classes on the 28th, and report cards will be handed out. Dh's Admin Day is the 29th. None of the Teachers realized the 28th was a regular day, never mind the kids!! Kinda funny if we weren't eager to go get our travel package...

We were finished as of yesterday.
Yeah, no more homework to nag about, no more nagging to get DS out of bed, no more driving to school because he missed the bus. Yes I like summer. Peace and quiet in the morning before work. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

My 9 year old DS is finished today. All he had to say was why is school over? I love school. Hopefully he won't get too bored. He is only going to camp for five weeks this summer. It should be some major bonding time for him and my DH. I have to save my holidays for our trip home in November.
I have no idea where this year has gone.
I hope that everyone has a safe and happy summer vacation.

2 more days here. My students are so super delux hyper  We had our year end trip on Friday. Monday is playday and hotdog day. Tuesday is the talent show in the morning and then my kids (grade 6) have a dance in the afternoon. :rockband: They are already all sad that it is the last day....it is their last year at the school, next year they are off to the middle school. Some of them are going to different schools. I think the dance is going to be a weepy one. but also full of hugs and kisses  I am ready for the summer break, but I will sure miss my kids.

My students are done now, and I have just one more exam to mark and then I'm DONE!!! :thewave: :thewave: :thewave:
WAHOO!! I actually got some books from the library at church today that aren't books I need for school, or parenting books. I think I remember how to read a novel but I'm not sure....
I will miss my students (highschool) who are graduating, but I won't stay up too many nights crying. THis summer I'm not teaching summer school, so I get to spend the whole summer with ds2. Including taking him to Disney! I'm so excited!
