How long are you allow to park at DD and the Boardwalk? I'm just wondering if we were in those areas and decided to go to one of the parks, do we have to drive over to the park or can we leave our car at DD/Boardwalk for several hours?

There is no time limit at DD. Be aware that they do not have direct bus service from DD to the parks.

Boardwalk discourages leaving your car there to go to the parks. If the lot is crowded, they will direct you to another lot across the street, next to the gas station, especially if you do not have a WDW resort parking permit or a PS for one of the restaurants.

we were at BWV last week. they have a sign posted at the gate saying no parking except for guests of BWV or BWI. the guard was checking lists for guests checking in. i saw 2 cars turned away.

as a BWV owner, i was very happy to see this ::yes::

That's so good to hear. I have been so frustrated at not being able to find a place to park my car (when I'm staying at the BWV) only to see the lot empty right after IllumiNations.

Count me happy, too!

Thanks. I wasn't sure about it but I had read it off a tips list off of another website. I just wanted to doublecheck with the dis-ers to see if that was a bad idea. If we chose to stop by any of the parks, we'll just drive on over.

Even if you have a PS at a resort on-site and are not a guest of that resort - you may be able to get a parking pass good for only 3 hours. This was done to discourage people from parking at the resorts (especially BWV, BC, Poly and CR) to avoid parking fees and getting easy access to the parks. :sunny:
