I was planning on booking a flight for the London Eye for our trip in July. What would be the best time of day to go up?

As long as you have booked your tickets you won't need to queue up for them. The queues do get very long as the day goes on.

Personally I would either go up first thing in the morning or early evening just as the sun is going down.

Thanks. I was thinking evening would be good. I found that on the day I am looking at (July 11), sunset is 21.15. I can book any flight that evening on the hour or half hour. Which one would you suggest?

When we did the London Eye we started our 'flight' when it was light enough to see the fabulous views you get, but by the time we started our descent it was dusk and the lights of London were a wondeful sight. With that in mind I'd go for 8.30pm or 9.00pm.
