Hi!! i'm coming over to Orlando in July and we're staying on Disney Property.
My mum and dad are going to Sarasota for two days so sister, partner and i will be going to US and i was wondering if it was possible to stay for one night at any of the hotels and if so would we get FOTL?
The main reason for doing it is just for a change of scenery so FOTL doen't matter too much it'd just be nice!
TIA!

You can definately do one night,, and that means you can use FOTL for the day you check in, and the day you are checking out. When you check out, they will store your luggage for you, so you don't have to worry about it.

FOTL will come in very handy in July and save you lots of time.
Book soon because July is very busy! The rates might not be that great since it is high season but you will have a ball!!!

We only stayed one night when we went, though I loved it so much, I wish we could have afforded to stay more than that...
The FOTL begins the day you check in and doesn't expire until park closing the night you check out. So, we transferred hotels that morning around 9, got into our room, got our room keys and hit the parks. THe next day, we had them come get our luggage to store it while we finished the parks. You only have to pay one parking fee per NIGHT as well, so we valeted and it was only one $12 fee for essentially two days. A good deal, if you ask me =)
FOTL is DEF worth it, even just for one night... PLUS, the hotels are gorgeous and we really enjoyed our time there.

You can do it, but it would better if you took another day away from Disney and stayed two nights. Yes, FOTL works both days, but on your 2nd day, you'll be checking out of your room at 11am. That means you would probably check out early and visit the park, but then you'd have no way to come back and shower after getting hot.
Visiting the park early in the morning, then coming back to your hotel room in the afternoon to rest is what you want to do.

FOTL is so worth it. If you can, I would do it for at least two nights if you can. DD would go on her favorites over and over. It saved so much time and energy.

check out time can be requested to be later than normal if you ask when you check in. We were allowed to stay in our room til 1 pm.
In my check in pamphlet it states. checkout time is 1100pm. Please contact the front desk if you require a later departure time.
It did not cost me any extra to extend my check out time.
