I am having a difficult time deciding whether to attend this year's event. We went last year, and did not feel it was worth the $150/pp. The only thing tempting me is that I am a Haunted Mansion fan and would like the merchandise.
What are others thoughts on this event? Are you going to give it another chance?

We have not been to any, but I would like to. For that kind of $ I am going to take a wait and see attitude before registering.

I've been to both events at WDW. I don't think that the MK portion of the 2003 event was as good as 2002. However, I did the two day package (Gus) and the extra days activities were excellent.
I still haven't decided which one I'm going to do this year because of the price increase.

Lisa, do you happen to remember the prices from last year? As I said, we attended the theme park party only, but I don't remember the cost.
Thanks

If memory serves, the Gus package has gone up by $70 and I think the Ezra has gone up by $30. I don't know about the Phineas because it's a little out of my league.

We did last year Gus package and it was OK, I don't think it is worth 529?, so we will be doing the lower package.
Phineas stayed the same. We tried for that last year but one family bought 10 or so packages. I really hope they had a great time.

I thought last year one of the packages you actually had dinner inside the HM. Am I wrong? It doesn't appear to be the case this year?
Does the smallest package have the same themed dinner buffet as the other two?
It looks like the main difference is you don't get to hear Jason Surrell talk.
Can you not get the second package without the hotel?
DUH! Nevermind, I see the HM dinner on the expensive package. Where is the other buffet held?

THe difference in Gus & Ezra is also you have a themed dinner in MGM and a breakfast buffet with Gus. You also have the seminar with Jason Surrell.
I don't see the live auction listed on the Ezra package either, wonder if that is a mistake.
I am hoping they amp it up a bit from last year.
