What do you all think of the Garden Grill for 9yo birthday meal? We've eaten there several times, and the entire family loves it! Plus, Epcot is the fav park of the birthday boy. Can anyone think of a better place?
TIA

I personally think it's a great idea. I love the restaurant because of the rotation and the "scenery," and character interaction is always wonderful. The food is good and plentiful, and kids can order from the adult's section and vice versa.

Don't forget to ask to be seated on the lower tier, so you can see the scenes!

I just called and got the PS for 8/28, his birthday. The CM on the phone said they make a big deal about the birthday. They give hime a card signed by all the charactors, and he gets a small cake too! He's going to be so excited............:sunny: :wave2:

We ate there about 2 weeks ago and celebrated a birthday. I had paid for a birthday cake at LTT the day before as a combined celebration for 2 birthdays we had. The next night at Garden Grill was a celebration of just my DD's b-day. The waitress said she had quite a few birthdays that evening. DD got a signed birthday card and another cake for free that was just like the one we had paid for the night before. We were actually just hoping the characters would just acknowledge her birthday so this was much more than we expected.

Thanks for posting your experience bashful, I'm hoping it is just as magical for my DS. He's a little shy at first , but I think he'll enjoy the attention.

If you have an early lunch you could always return to Garden Grill for Ice Cream Social with Mickey & Gang! We did this on our recent WDW trip and my boys loved it! The sit down was a great break during a warm afternoon and the sundaes are fantastic! Only $6.99 per person. This is done after they are done serving lunch so the place is almost empty!

Happy Birthday to the birthday boy!:wave2:
