There are new products coming out every day and some are good some are not and some are just not worth even trying.

I did find a Kraft BBQ sauce that is only 3 carbs for 2 TLBS and it is really good!!!! I tried the Hood Carbcountdown yogurt smoothie and it was ok(3 carbs) but was a bit "chalky". I ended up putting it in the freezer and letting it get a little slushy which helps.

Are there any new products out there that you have tried ? Has anyone used the Special K cereal? It is 9 carbs so that seems a bit high just for breakfast but I have not tried it. I am hungry for some cereal that does not taste like cardboard.

I thought the Atkins Morning Start cereal in Almond is really dry and way too sweet. I'm glad I got a little bit of a cereal fix, but I'm over it. I'll be interested to hear about the Special K.

Our local news does a Carb Busters on Thursday's news. Every week they do a differant report and a few weeks ago they tested low carb products, suprisingly some of the items that got bad reviews, I really like. I guess everyone has their own taste for things. Products I have recently tried and liked:

Carb Options French dressing, very good (was getting tired of oil based dressings)

Carb Smart Ice Cream, have tried strawberry and vanilla, liked both.

Carb Smart Fudge bars and Ice Cream sandwiches, like them both.

Hershey's low carb chocolate bars, expensive but I thought they were pretty good. They have a bit of a waxey texture, but they are so better then no chocolate at all.

Carb Smart Steak Sauce, it's pretty good, but doesn't compare to the regular A-1. The odd thing is, it raises my blood sugar pretty fast, even though it's low carb.

Keebler low carb cookies, tried peanut butter and the chocolate chocolate chip. They leave a bit of an after taste in your mouth but again, they are better then no cookies at all.

I still haven't been able to find low carb Doritos. Our Publix carries alot of No Name low carb chip items but at the price they charge, I'll wait until I find the Doritos...a name I can trust.

I have looked at the Doritos a couple of times but always put them back. I am not that big of a chip eater so until I get a magor craving for them I will just leave them alone.

The View had some different low carb things today. They loved the low carb ketchup from Heinz but the cheetos they said was awful. Might have to get the ketchup!!

Carb Well dressings...I think Kraft makes them?

I love the Roka Bleu Cheese. In fact, I originally started mixing it with the regular Bleu Cheese (which only has 2 carbs per serving anyway), until I realized that they taste EXACTLY the same.

YUM!

I bought the heinz ketchup today and sampled a drop. It was GOOD!!! only 1 carb for 1 Tlbs.

My husband and I have learned to avoid "Atkins friendly" products. Every few weeks we will have the waffles from the pancake mix and they are tasty :)
