at the Fort Wilderness Camp Ground? In an effort to find new and exciting things to surprise DH with after 13 trips, I stumbled across a brief mention that this can be done in one of the planning books. Anyone have the scoop?

Hi. We did it twice. Once about 8 years ago. That was better, as the last time, about a year ago, was much more controlled. Kept in a tight line, with no chatter, or anything. Strickly walking. The first time I recall seeing deer along the trail, and it generally being more fun. Last time was just 'ok'. I did it as a surprise for Emily, who's a bit of a rider. Overall, nice, but boring. If you want a real trail ride with cantering and troting, this is likely not it. But, the are they take you back to is nice. Pretty much all wilderness.

My DD did the FW trail ride several years ago and she found the riding aspect of it too easy (boring in her words). There is Horse World in Poinciana ( http://www.horseworldstables.com/ ) and Grand Cypress Equestrian Centre ( http://www.grandcypress.com/equestrian_center/ ) both offer a more challanging and interesting option.
