Would anyone know ROUGHLY how much I would be looking to pay for 7 nights rental of a 1 bed BCV??? Just a guide would be great, Im looking for Oct 2005.
Also, where do I go to find someone to rent from, and how do I know they are genuine DVC members!!??
Thanks!

Hi Allie,
7 nights at BCV in October comes to 214 points for a 1-bedroom villa. The typical rule of thumb for renting seems to be $10 per point, making a total of $2140 or about £1160 at today's exchange rate. If you fancied the Boardwalk instead in a standard-view room the cost goes down to 174 points / $1740 / £950.
If this seems like a good option for you then i'd take a look at the DVC Rent/Trade board, as there are usually plenty of members looking to rent their points there.
As for ensuring you are dealing with a genuine DVC member, one way of checking would be for them to fax you a copy of the reservation once it is made. It may also be that they can provide references of parties that have previously rented from them. The US DVC board also has some tips on this I think, and it's probably worth having a search there.

Thanks, thats very useful!!
Have now decided to book a 2 week package at AKL, but I am considering a 2 or 3 night add on at BCV, so thanks for the info.

No problem Allie. One thing to bear in mind is that the October/November period at the BCV (& BW) can get booked up very quickly due to the food & wine festival at Epcot. If you are going to rent points make sure you do it well in advance of the dates you want so the owner can get the reservation you need.
If you need any more info please just ask.
