So of course I sit down and decide I am going to go 30 days cheat free and I am really really determined! Then all this happens!

A girl at work just got a huge shipment of Mrs. Fields cookies from a client and is passing them around the office. I manged to hide my face in my arms until she walked away

Last night it was decided that DH and I would have his parents over for Father's Day and everyone suggested Spaghetti for a meal. Spaghetti! The first big No No of a low carb diet is Spaghetti! Of course I'll have salad to go with is but Spaghetti! And I love Spaghetti!

And to top it off they are putting together a food day here at work for next Friday and everyone is to bring in something. The list looks so yummy and it is all high in carbs. I am bringing an Italian Salad and a friend is bringing in little smokies so I may be able to get through the day - but I think I'll still go home for lunch.

Why this month do they decide to do all this?

 Amanda,

Take a deep breath. You can do this. Make it through today. You would feel awful after one of those cookies. You can make it to the end of the work day. For Father's day make spaghetti. Make yourself some spaghetti squash. Cut it in half, scoop out the seeds, and boil for 20 minutes. You have your own spaghetti. For the pot luck, either go home for lunch or bring your own goodies. Make a cheesecake, you can freeze individual slices, so you have legal treats through the month, or bring a carb smart bar. Have salad and cold cuts, little smokies and your legal dessert. If it is the cheesecake I gaurantee people will be jealous of what YOU areeating.

Hi Amanda,

I think its all happening this month because its the start of the summer season! At my job all people are doing is EATING EATING AND EATING!! Sometimes its tough but so far so good! Just take each day one at a time. Plan for each up coming event w/ options you can eat and you won'T feel deprived or hungry:D

Good Luck
Sue

Thanks you guys! I made the girl that sits next to me hide the cookies from view. Out of sight almost out of mind. I ran from the building for lunch today knowing I couldn't resist cookies much longer and had a very filling lunch and treated myself with sugar free lime jello and whip cream - right now my taste buds are satisfied.
