IOA opened way back in May 28, 1999 and is now 5 years old! Who wants some birthday cake? Now we need a present of a wooden roller coaster in JP. :)

5 years old, and Spiderman is still the most technologically advanced, amazing super theme park ride on the planet.

Happy Birthday!

yeah, really. I was there before the park opened, had a wonderful time, practically everything worked as expected, met a wonderful waitress at Mythos (Lori) who I had sorta become friends with over the several times I visited after that. Now I can't get in touch with her, but the memories are good

I told my DS15 Saturday that when he was a kid we used to be able to ride and re-ride Pteranodon Flyers without getting off. He said IOA wasn't built when he was a kid. BTW, if you get there early enough they will let adults ride it without a kid.
There was alot of talk last week about the new rollercoaster. Attendants showed me how and where they surveyed for it in Jurassic Park. They want to beat Cedar Point but Orlando won't allow coasters over 200' high? Have to go underground like the Hulk.
Happy Birthday IOA!
