Dreams Unlimited and Package Question

I booked through Dreams Unlimited and got a package plan... Now after reading all the posts on how the package plans are not such a good deal, I was wondering if anyone knew if I could keep the hotel reservation part of it and cancel the package part of this. I am planning to contact my contact with DU - but wondering if anyone knew the answer before I made myself look foolish...
