I am planning on journaling weekend. This will be the first time I've ever used vellum.
What do you use for adhesive?
thanks in advance! :wave2:

I havent found anything above wonderful yet so I try to use things other than glue (usually eyelets) or try to cover the glue spot with something as its pretty noticable- I did find some clear sticky tabs but they still show up-

You can use Creative Memories Photo Tape. This is different than the tape runner and is invisible.

I use my Xyron 510 ALL THE TIME for vellum -
or eyelets, brads, or just regular adhesive then embellish on top of where i put the adhesive with a sticker, punchie, button, charm or something like that.
other than that I know that they do sell a spray adhesive but I have not had the need to try it!

I have the spray and its OK, but I took a velum class at Memories Expo last year and they told us to use glue in the corners and smear it and I like that alot better.

I just bought some "Incredi-Tape!" because it's described as "acid free, double-sided, permanent, crystal clear, great on vellum".
It's by Coffee Break Design.
If I remember... I'll give it a try, and let you know how it works.

I put off using vellum for a long time because I wasn't happy with any of the adhesives. Then I got a can of the spray and its perfect. I put my paper (or whatever) on a piece of newspaper so the glue won't get on anything, then spray about 8 inches away. Then quickly move it to your page and pat (don't rub) it to make it stick. I've never had any problem with it not sticking, and its perfectly clear.

I use brads and ZIG blue glue. It doesn't show and I really like it.

I have found "vellum tape" by the roll, sorry I'm not at home and don't remember the brand. I love it! Two "tricks" though. First, when I run it on the vellum I run my fingers over it really well to make sure it is stuck well to the paper. Second, pull the paper backer slowly. Otherwise you sometimes end up with missing bits of adhesive. Although for me this isn't usually a problem.
When I am using vellum as a "mat" to either cardstock for journaling or a photo I simply use photo mounts but set back so they don't show.

I have used the vellum tape as well and I never had a problem with it. I have also used the creative memories roll tape as well. I liked the way both of them turned out. I am working on my wedding book and I need to get to my journaling on vellum as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I have some Zig glue at home so I think I'll try that and go from there.
Deb - I want to try the clear vellum adhesive too so if you think about it, let me know what the brand is. Dizneegirl mentioned the kind she bought but hasn't used yet. Maybe it's the same?!?!
I'm looking forward to checking it all out!

I just went to check on the brand for you. Ooops! I took it out of the package and so no label left.
Sorry.

I'm running up to Home Depot in the morning so I'll have to "stop" by Target. I better check out all their scrapping stuff while I'm there.
Thanks!:sunny:
I am another Xyron lover. I have tried the tape and did not like it. I have not tried the spray but would like to. I also bought some self sticking vellum. This is great but you have to be careful not to get bubbles in it.
