DL's Believe GONE

Rumor has it that Believe there's magic is going away after this weekend and they'll be showing Fantasy over the summe runtill the new show comes out for the 50th.

How old is Believe ? I thought it was relatively new.

Believe was approx 4 years old. It was perhaps the best Disney fireworks show I have ever seen.

There may be a good reason for the change ... the castle will be going through a major rehab starting in June. Since the castle is a major part of the show (lighting, etc), it just may not make sense to have Believe and lit up tarps (as some say in other discussion boards). So Believe ... those tarps are well lit up will take a rest.

The "Believe" show is a "go" as far as I know, at least until they unveil the new show for the 50th. This rumor may have been started because the fireworks was down for about two weeks this month, and has not been officially scheduled to resume until this weekend, although they were up and running last week. This was due to the fact that they have just installed a totally new multi-million dollar delivery system for the fireworks. Before, the fireworks was shot into the air using gunpowder, much like a bullet. Now, they have installed about 350 seperate air guns to cut down on the smoke, and the potential for ground fire. The show looks great, and there is now noticably less smoke. It is my understanding that this new delivery system greatly increases what they can do in terms of delivery. Can't wait to see what they come up with for the 50th.

Go look at Disneyland.com and look for Believe on the entertainment schedule for June. You won't find it. You will find "Imagine - A Fantasy in the Sky." After this weekend, Believe! is gone forever.

My family and I were there last Friday (5/21) and we watched the Believe... firework show. Like a previous poster said, it is a really nice show. The fireworks are incredible! Not sure about the rumor, but just wanted to say that we saw the show recently.

Yes, they showed it saturday too. It runs through the next 3 days. see it now or miss it forever.

An Update, Saw the new Show, it's not the old Fantasy in the Sky. It's a good show, but not as good as Believe.

We watched the fireworks 6/11 from the concierge lounge at the Anaheim Hilton and it looked great! Some of the effects around the castle look better from a distance.
