Recieved a promotion for this resort from Starwood Preferred Guest: 4 nights $279 with $100 "gift" to use at area attractions. Is anyone familiar with this promo? What is the gift they refer too? Is a timeshare pitch mandatory? Offer does not mention one. Thanks! Jennifer

Jennifer,
I can't answer your question but that is a great rate and would find it hard to believe it does not include a timeshare tour.

Definitely sounds like a timeshare tour..the gift may be Disney or Universal dollars..

hey there! I got the same offer/ invitation in the mail today. I think it is for real because i stayed at the Studio City last summer for $55 for a similar gift for being a starwood member. Its worth a call to see.

When I stayed at Vistana and attended the timeshare presentation, the $100 gift was actually a $100 check. BTW the timeshare presentation wasn't that bad. We scheduled ours at 7:30 am, brought the children and basically left at 9am without a problem. We went straight to the parks afterward.

Vistana is terrific and that rate is a bargain. I would take the earliest morning presentation (they give you breakfast), be firm that you don't want to buy, get your gift and hit the parks. :moped:
