NEW Disney World Location

I have heard a rumor that Disney is going to build a world in Ohio! I heard it will be years down the road, but was wondering if this could be true. I live in Louisville, Kentucky and it would be really close.

Has anyone heard anything pertaining to this?:earsgirl:

Yes, it was a joke regarding a park called Disney's Ohio Adventure which was a parody on DCA.

I was at a picnic yesterday and my SIL said that she heard this rumor and wondered if I had heard anything about it. She said rumor has it that Disney has purchased land south of Cleveland. There is a large area of land there and it has been for sale but I've not seen anything in the papers about it. You would think that something this big would have been publicized. It wouldn't be very far from the Six Flags Adventure so who knows! She heard that they would not develop the land for about 10 years and are looking for a year round park. That will be a challenge with northeast ohio winters! I hope this is true because it would only be about 1/2 hour away from me. Anyone else hear anything????

Wouldn't it be cool if each state had its own Adventure park like Disney's Ohio Adventure and Disney's Texas adventure. I know it'll never happen, but it sure would be cool. :p

This is the first I've ever heard this rumor, but it doesn't sound realistic. I don't see how they could keep a Disney park open year-round and make enough money off of it. MK is more expensive than Kings Island or Cedar Point to build and maintain. Theme parks in Ohio are only open in the summer, and unless they plan to enclose it in glass it won't make money in the winter when it's freezing.
