In the past, we had taken the kids to a restaurant in Epcot where they dressed as chefs and decorated cookies. Do they still do this? Thanks!!

They had the area set up when we were there last month during our Easter trip.
We were there to early. They had the times posted outside of the area.

Can you be more specific where the restaurant is in Epcot or give more details, can you PS for it? I wanted to have my DD 5 & 3 do the Grand Adventures in Cooking but they changed the age restriction to 4 and up so didn't want to let one do and not the other. They would love the cooking decorating. At first I thought we would only be in Epcot for dinner but now am thinking we need to plan a whole day there. Thank goodness for these boards! Any other activity suggestions in Epcot for toddlers would be appreciated!

I believe that you're talking about is the Toll House Cookie booth in The Land. I think the first "class" is around 1pm and goes again every hour or so. It's for kids to become "Junior Chef's". Each child gets to add another ingredient to the chocolate chip cookies. Our DD3 did it last year and loved it (she's extremely shy). They give them a chef's hat and a small container of chocolate chips and after the cookies " magically" bake in about a minute while the kids eyes are closed, they get to take 2 cookies home with them.
We're definitely going to do it again this year. I would suggest trying to hit one of the classes later in the day (a lot of people show up for the 1st class and it fills up rather quickly - I think maybe 12-15 kids are allowed).
Have fun!:)

It's the building called The Land, on the bottom level near the Living With The Land ride.

It wasn't in the land. I'm looking in my Unofficial Guide for the name of the restaurant and I guess it's the Electric Umbrella. It was a large restaurant with a counter and seating area that went kind of around the building. We had heard about it and asked about the times then waited for it to happen. The kids decorated their chef's hats and then decorated cookies with icing and other toppngs. They got to take home their hats and a certificate too, I think. We, too, had planned to do the Grand Adventures in cooking but the kids didn't want to after they did that. I felt it was very similar and free! It fit right into our plans - we didn't have to make a special trip anywhere! I don't know about age restrictions or if they still have it. I've thought about the Tollhouse experience. What time does that happen?

The Land is the name of the building - I believe Electric Umbrella is the name of the food court area in The Land.

The cookies are done in The Land. It's on the bottom floor near the Sunshine Season Food Court, the Living With The Land Ride, and the exit for the Lion King show. As you walk out the theatre, you'll see the tables for the cookie making. When I was there last month there was a sign listing the times. To you right you'll see the ropes for the Land ride. If you walk past the cookie tables, you'll come to the food court.
The Electric Umbrella is a fast food type place near Mouse Gears.
They have a wonderful pineapple cole slaw.:yo-yo:
I'm not sure if they have the cookie class there or not. I didn't see any signs of it there last month.

I think that the confusion here is because there are two different events being discussed.
There is a Nestle sponsored booth in the food court of the Land Pavillion in Epcot where you children can make chocolate chip cookies. I believe the ages are about 3 and up. Every hour on the half hour as I recall. Great fun.
There is/was also a cookie "decorating" event that took place in Epcot (I personally cannot confirm where). I do not know for sure if this still takes place.

My original questions was basically is there still a cookie decorating time at the Electric Umbrella near Mouse Gears. It's not the Toll House booth or part of The Land but something totally separate. If I find out that they do still have it, I'll let you know. We leave in 10 days!
