We're about to take our 5th trip to the World. Everytime we go my DD14 and DD12 spend more money bringing back gifts for their friends than they do on themselves. I was at my local Dollar Tree tonight and found the big swirly suckers with Mickey and Minnie on them - a buck - I bought 20 of them, leave them at home - the DD's can give them to their friends when they get home and nobody will be the wiser - hee hee

My kids always have to buy a souvenier for our pets (2 dogs and a cat). I found the same dog bowls and collar/leash combos that Disney sold in August at Big lots for 1/5 the price. That is what they will get for a souvenier from this coming July's trip. lol

We did this last year for the same reason (about 15 neices, nephews and close freinds) We bought them each a Disney activity book and disney pez dispenser from Dollar tree. Then at WDW we bought a sucker for each one of them. We had enough of the small and medium WDW plastic shopping bags fro each one of them (my wife LOVES to shop) So we took all the bags dropped one of each item into them and gave them out when we got home. The suckers were 50 cents each on Main St. (5.00 for a 10 pack) For $2.50 plus tax we had a nice gift bag for each of them. Now if you factor in the amount of money she spent to get all those bags... WOW!

why do we always feel obligated to buy gifts when we go to disney? After years of buying gifts for everyone I told them this year instead of buying gifts I will be drinking a cappuchino for them. I even told them they could request the day that I will drink it. It seemed we were spending way too much time trying to find the right gift and not enjoying the vacation. Another very inexpensive small gift is the pressed pennies.
