I'll be getting up a little before midnight tonight to get my airfare for next April. I was curious what have people paid so far on the one way?
Thanks
Cora

Cora,

I woke up at midnight for Bos to Orl tickets for the 16 of April, '05, but unfortunately missed out on the $115.00 fare and was offered $282.00 for one way. I'm going to keep calling and checking and even wait to see about JetBlue. How did you do?

We have a couple of threads about this going on already. We are leaving on April 13th (Wed. before school vacation starts) and got 107.00 one way, Song airlines. I called at 11:50 pm and stayed on hold for 15 minutes, finally got someone. Now I have to do the same thing for our return flight on the 24th. I'm crossing my fingers for another good fare, we'll see!
Oh, btw, you won't be alone tonight! Wish Upon A Star will be joining you at midnight (see her posts). I wish you luck!

I'm officially freaking out now . . as the clock is ticking away . . .

Want to know how many times I have debated taking the Thurs (4/14) flight and spending 3 extra nights in Orlando . . .Oh yeah I had it all worked out . . .stay outside Disney . . .maybe over by Universal . . .go to Sea World, IOA . . .then I talked myself out of it . . .I had to think hmmmm 10 days in Florida . . .sounds good, but my poor mom who housesits for the animals will probably not appreciate it . . .

I am definately not used to making ressies on the phone . . .everyone is sleeping . . .I'll have to find a quiet place.

omg, you are so funny. :rotfl: Hang in there girlfriend, only 10 more minutes. But!!! Get on the phone now, you may have to wait on hold for a rep, then ask if they are from the east coast, the transaction will be done faster. Go!!! And then come back and let me know!! LOLLLL!!!!!!!

Well, I'm ready to jump off a building . . .:earseek:

The 7am flight started out at 309.10:earseek:

I put the 3:20 flight on hold for the 139.10 until 12 midnight tomorrow night.

I know that really kills my land part of the vacation . . .I'm not happy at all. I'm going to check on-line first thing when the alarm goes off at 5am to see if anything is different . . .I might just go down on the 14th instead and get some more time in.

Ok . .I gotta settle down and go to bed . . talk to ya in a few.

:wave2:

ok, thats not so bad. Now is the 14th still available at that price? If it is, I'd snag it. If not, that was a great decision to put it on hold to think about things, way to go! I tell ya, the things we ladies go through, all the while my DH is sleeping away...thats ok, he pays the bills, he deserves it. :) I wish you luck in the next few days, it sure isn't easy.

Well after getting a little less than 5 hours sleep . . .I came to one conclusion . . .I definately do not want to miss almost an entire day of my land/sea vacation because the airlines are being greedy. Soooooooooooo I went ahead and booked the 3:20pm flight on the 14th so that way we'll arrive and stay (who knows where) a couple nights before our land portion and have a 10 day vacation.

I'll be up again next Thursday trying to get the 11:20am flight home for a decent price.

I gave up on the Boston to Orlando flight and looked into the Boston to Tampa one. It's pricing at $144.00 and there are 7 of us going. We were planning on renting a mini-van anyway (for SeaWorld, etc) so we figured we would do the hour drive to save the money. My bro and sis-in-law are teachers w/2 children so they really couldn't afford the $282 or $309 fare one-way for the 4 of them! They also are not able to leave any earlier than Saturday due to work. We are hoping to return home out of Orlando, but will wait and see. Whenever I check the Orlando to Boston on Song they always seem to be $104.00. Do you think they will shoot up to $300, too???

Thanks!

Wish...thats great. I don't blame you a bit, that sounds so much better for you.
Kathy, I think its 104.00 because its not the time everyone is returning from Orlando yet. As soon as everyone starts booking their return flight after school vacation is over, then the low fares like that will be gone, very quickly.
