? on 1/2 Off Gift certificates

I know about these but was wondering, if I bought the certificate for one restaurant, you get 2 certificates, I can't use both certificates for myself but can someone else use the other on the same day? My family and extended family are going and were trying to decide if this was a good deal for us, we were planning on splitting the cost and then having separate bills at the restaurant. Can this be done? Or can we use the other certificate the next day? Does anyone know the answer to this?

I can't say for sure, but if you get 2 $25 each GC's you may not be able to combine them on one check, but I can't see why you cannot have someone in your family use the other one while you are using one...just different checks.. as far as using it later in that same day or the next day.... again, I can't see any reason why you cannot.... only thing they say is that they cannot be used at the sametime on the same check...

At Pat O'Briens they let us use both $25 GCs on one check. At Motown, we had 2 $50 certificates and had dinner with friends so we asked for separate checks and they accomodated us. They seem to be pretty flexible with these.

We used 2 $50 GCs with ONE check at Motown. Many others have been able to use 2 on the same check at various restaurants. I guess it just depends on the server or restaurant policies.

Thank you all for your responses, since we are such a large group we will probably be in separate tables anyway so I guess asking for separate checks shouldn't be a problem. Thanks guys, you're all wonderful! Now hoping to get the GCs I want!:teeth:
