What's your best car rental advice and company???

When taking trips, I have always booked packages. For our trip in September (not to WDW, but San Diego) I am booking everything separately. I don't even know where to begin on the rental car thing.

I have the Disney Club, AAA and Delta SkyMiles (American Express). Can I get any discounts or upgrades with these??

yes you can. and also check with your CC company as they often have specials as well. I also have a lot of upgrade coupons and one for dollar as well if you would like it. what kind of vehicle were you looking for? suv? midsize? premium? economy? minivan? and if you are a member of National's EA you can pick from the aisle as well and you are guaranteed at least what you reserved if its not available on the EA! since the EA is a luck of the lotto you never know what is going to be on it! but if you rent a full size then you are guaranteed that you will at least get the full size!
