Jet blue out of JFK what is it like going to this airport? Would rather fly out of Newark(much closer) How is the drive to and from JFK from NJ...how long a ride? Worth the hassel to save $100 per ticket? Thanks

We're going out of JFK in August for the first time(usually do EWR). I've decided to get a car service so I don't have to worry about driving. Flights out of EWR were awful, so Jet Blue here we come.

If you get someone to drive you to JFK and back (relative, friend, etc.) then it is absolutley worth it. Otherwise, you have to factor in the cost of a car service or the cost to park your car for the length of the trip. Also, be prepared to go EARLY. DO NOT attempt arrival at JFK within less than one hour of your flight time if you can avoid it. Other than that, Jet Blue is my favorite airline. I just wish that it flew out of Newark, then life would be perfect for me!
Good luck with your planning!

How many tickets? For 4 tickets I'd say go for it. Gas, tolls and parking is going to cost at lest $100. I wouldn't do it for 1 or 2 tickets.
Avistar (Entertainment or AAA discount) is a good way to park your car. Allow plenty of time.
