Good luck to you, Mal. I'm sure your home is lovely. Now let's hope that the right buyer comes along PRONTO.

I can understand what you're going thru. Of course I will send all the pixie dust and prayers I can your way.

Several years ago we were in a similar situation. We had 1 week to sell our house or take a way below market buy out offer from my husband's company. Well, the very last day we had 2 offers for almost the asking price!

It will work out! And remember, even if you don't sell your house by the deadline, the owners of the other house will need to find a new buyer before it is completely off the market.

Good luck.

Good luck, Mal!

My in-laws are in a similar situation. In fact, they are staying with us right now because their house is in another state so you better believe I'm praying that they sell their house soon! LOL!
;)

I'm sure it will work out.

Good Luck Mal, I wish you all the best.
One tip that I did hear is that you should put fresh flowers in vases on a few tables, this is a tip from a real estate agent who was selling my aunts house.
Good Luck!!

Another hint I've heard of is having some potpurri going when the house is being showed. ;)

Hey Mal, I used to work for a home builder. We had model homes for people to look at. One thing we learned was to use scents to give the house a homey smell. Of course these were new homes and I'm sure your home smells homely...definantly not saying your home stinks! Instead of leaving the house smelling of cleaning supplies, create comfort smells. We would burn potporri (sp) or pop popcorn, something yummy (apple pie) just out of the oven....in the "nursery" we made it smell like Baby Magic, in the winter we'd even decorate the house!

The main thing is set a scene...create atmosphere. I know they aren't buying the furniture, but if your showing your home in the evening, turn down the bed & have a nightgown drapped across the bed, a tub of bubble bath sparkling..........you get the idea.

Things like that really make a difference! It couldn't hurt!
