(5/5/04) One of our spies tells us that the Mummy could soft open once again for a few days sometime around May 10th.

Some of the employees that post on another board is saying that it isn't going to be opening today because some things are backwards in the building.

As the earlier post said, The Mummy did not open yesterday. I am currently at the HRH, and I'll be checking today to see if it is open. I'll let you know!

ohhhh I hope it's open this weekend...that would be sweet! Okay, so maybe I've already ridden it...but not with the animatronics...gotta see it with the good stuff! :)

No luck today either. At the entrance, an cast member told me that they were working on the "turntable", and that there would be no test runs today. She said to try again tomorrow. At about 6PM tonight, there was a buzz of activity around the ride as several cast members (and supervisor-looking people) were cleaning the outside and setting up the queue line.

We are transferring to Disney tomorrow, but we aren't leaving until 11AM, so I'm planning on getting to USF in the morning for one last attempt.

Hopefully it will be open on Friday/Saturday/or Sunday (don't know yet which days I'm going..hehe).

I am speechless! I rode the Mummy twice today. I am totally blown away! I rode it around 20 times during the first technical rehearsal a few weeks ago and loved it. But, oh baby, has it come a long way! The new animatronics are simply amazing! If you loved this ride during the first technical rehearsals, you will really love it now.

And kudos to DM. The themeing by the employees (and DM) was wonderful. They were all interacting with guests and just plain scary.
