clam chowder at Columbia Harbor House

I thought I read somewhere that the clam chowder is no longer served in a bread bowl. Has anyone been there recently?

Not sure how much this helps, but when we were there last May, the bread bowls were still around. I REALLY hope they haven't done away with them or my brother is going to be very upset when we arrive in a couple of weeks.

Actually, they have done away with the bread bowls. They serve the clam chowder and vegetarian chili with half sandwiches instead.

We ate there in November last year and they were no longer serving the clam chowder in the bread bowl. It just didn't taste the same IMHO.

According to Allearsnet menu (updated March '04) they do still have the bread bowls ($4.99), or you can get a cup of soup and half sandwich ($6.49)

We were there in Jan. and I'm sure we got the bread bowls.

I was just there last week and unfortunately ....no bread bowls!! My dad ordered the chowder and it was just a plain old bowl. Very disappointing.

We ate there in December 03' and January 04'. There were NO bread bowls. They found that most people were wasting the bread bowls. So they have stopped serving them.
