When are you going? Typically STL is cheaper. I have not looked for a while, but SWA is almost always cheaper than others and if it goes down after you buy but before your trip SWA gives you the difference back. I like Kansas City's airport better- of course it is only 35 minutes from my house! It really is an easy airport seperate from that. They have made it so the parking is easy, you can always park at the termainal, but the sattelite lots are now dedicated to whichever terminal you need. You just park at the lot that matches up and the shuttle goes straight to the terminal. . It is clearly marked for each airline.

also looking for good fares from STL. Best I've seen this week is $256 which is just silly. Hoping STL or MCO will come up as featured destination on SWA soon. Cmatt-- there were some good deals floating around for Memphis to MCO if that's do-able for you.

I finally booked mci to mco last night with SWA. Cheapest fare was $201 each. I am praying that they will have better fares and then I will just get credit or voucher towards next years flight. That is what I did last year so I have $150 in vouchers from last year to use. At least this way I know I have the date and flight that I want. I love the nonstop flight with SWA.

pokeysmom,
SWA had a short time sale with MCI as one of their featured locations about a month ago. If they do that again before you leave (which could be possible) you could get $135 RT. Keep watching SWA website as they are not predictable as to when they drop prices or get on their email list so you will get their notices.

I went online (SWA) and ordered tickets for our May trip when the window opened, got 6 tickets for $1045, nonstop MCI-MCO roundtrip. I was fairly happy with that! When the sale LoveToDisney referred to came up I called and got an even better deal - Got a credit of almost $250! I have to use the credit within a year of the original order but I can live with that.

So watch the SWA site like a hawk and you might find a deal!

Good luck!

lovetodisney and crazyforgoofy, thank you!!! I will definitely keep watching for that lower fare, it worked for us last summer. Any idea how often they run specials for the same city I hope I didnt miss my one and only chance on a great fare. I will definitely check every day from now on!

Southwest hasn't had a GOOD sale since the buy one get one free from STL to MCO. They almost always have that sale, even if its only for Orlando. They've had that sale every spring for at least 4 years. Of course this year, that sale is no where in exsistence. I was tired of waiting and just decided to drive from STL, stay overnight in ATL (got a new hotel for only $36 a night - a nice area) then head on in to Orlando the next day. The drive is not bad at all. If you leave at 4 am, you'll arrive by 1pm - 2pm. And that's with several stops. Besides, thats a few hundred bucks that can be spent in the world.

If you do find something soon, please post info!!!!!!

HAVE A HAPPY DISNEY DAY:bounce:

cmatt, I was just looking at that today. SWA has STL to MCO for $99 each way. With the taxes etc. it is probably about $210 per ticket. Not the best fare ever but not to bad either. With gas prices going up it will cost more to drive too. We need to decide soon too for our Aug. cruise. I sure would like to see the Friends Fly Free come out though!:D
