I am Kaylee

We have visited WDW 6 times, the first in 2000 when we were married at Disney's Polynesian Resort. We became DVC members at the Boardwalk that year too. So far we have stayed at Caribbean Beach Resort, Boardwalk Villas, Villas at Wilderness Lodge, Beach Club Villa's, Old Key West Resort and the Hard Rock Hotel. Our next trip will be in 2008 back to our 'home' the Boardwalk :)

Hello Wembley it's great to be back!

Hi - I've got the worst name ever (a combination of the League of Gentlemen and my nickname when I was a baby!) I've been to WDW before (2000) and am going again this October.

Have a lovely husband and two (sometimes) lovely boys (14 and 9) 14 year old is at the stage where he only communicates by grunts, sneers and strops. 9 year old has discovered Aerosmith (thanks to the ride!) and now wants to design roller coasters for all other metal bands and open his own theme park.

We live in the most exciting place on the planet - Reading! Well, it's near the M4 and at least it isn't Slough - what more do you want from a town?

Hello!

My name's Karen and I live with my DH Jon and 2 DD's Amber (7) and Erin (4). We live in a village called Broadclyst just outside Exeter in Devon.

I've been to WDW twice - Jon has been  many more times than that. We are going in December and staying onsite for the first time ever (how excited am I??). Even better, we have just bought into DVC (I still have to pinch myself to believe it's true!) and are planning our first trip "home" in August 2005. Will also be doing a 3 day cruise if I get my way!

I seem to spend a lot of my leisure time planning and reading about WDW and love reading these boards. Oh yes, and brainwashing my daughters into becoming the Disney fans we both are!!

Like Kaylee we also collect pins and have a large collection of plushes...Erin has many Minnie Mouses in various outfits whereas Amber prefers the more unusual ones like Squirt. My favourite is Pumbaa!!

Next, please!

Hi im Jules, resident Disney Cast member here in england, and also Interpreteur for the deaf/teacher.(hence the name signtalker, as i talk in sign language for the majority of the week!)
One of the "Old" crowd having been here awhile(before the boards crashed and everybody lost their post counts! ).

Hooked on disney since our first trip(dragged DH kicking and screaming), and well our trip of a lifetime has turned into more than one visit LOL!!!

Favorite character would have to be Mickey Mouse

::yes::
And when not planning other people's holidays or reading my Brits guide, you can find me, dancing around in the local disney store!:hyper:

My real name's ...er.. well... Mike Jones, actually!:teeth:.. I didn't understand the concept of a 'username' when I first found the site!

Was recommended here by Kev Stringer, after emailing him to congratulate him on his superb trip reports (found them via another site, not a forum)..oh, Kev, the wife wants a word.. she's calculated I've spent at least 1 month out of the last 11 on this and other Disney forums, and she wants compensation please!

Nearly 40 (and there's a tale.. going to WDW for a concentrated 6 day assault with my best mate to celebrate this, as DW wouldn't go for less than 2 weeks.), I'm quite fit, enjoy hillwalking (30-40 miles a week usually), I'm a partner/ director in a 'real estate' ( in US speak,) business (ok I admit it, I'm an estate agent!:teeth:) and a director of a property investment company. I live in sunny Lancashire, ideally placed for regular runs to the Lakes, Dales and Peak District, not to mention Manchester airport!;)

Married 19 years to Heather (together since we were 14!) and two kiddies.. DD 11.5 and DS nearly 10. Oh, and Meg-the-dog!

Been to WDW 4 times now since 2001 (twice last year!) and going again as a family at easter 2005 (doing a week at the Gulf again, too)

Mad about Epcot and IOA/US, but not bothered about MK.

that enough Kaylee?

Hi i'm Michelle Flynn, I live with my DH Martyn and our DD Lucy(3 in august). We have been married for 4 years in October.

We live in Warrington (between Liverpool and Manchester). I work for Mothercare and Martyn was discharged out of the Army in December last year due a car crash he had on the 1st may 2001. His right femur snapped and he had a number of other injuries and his leg has taken along time to heal, hence the med discharge.

Were going to Florida in September for 3 weeks first two at Disney and the 3rd on the gulf coast. This is my first time (and DD) DH and his parents who we are going with have been about 5 times before.

My favourite characters are Minnie and Piglet.

I can't wait to get over there and have a great time:thewave:

Married to Mark (Chunkster20uk) last May....wow nearly our 1st Anniversary!:lovestruc and spent our honeymoon in Florida and on a Magic cruise:sunny:
We met on this very site 2 years ago:smooth:

I have 1 daughter, Becky, who's just turned 16:rockband: and has her own band where she plays Bass guitar.

We're currently in Southend, Essex but are relocating to Reading as soon as we find a house!

Not long back from my 8th trip to Disney and have another planned for November:bounce: :Pinkbounc

Hello,

My names Paul (the name of my gerbil is Sebastian!), I'm 23 and I live with my girlfriend Lindsay (also 23) . We live in Gloucestershire at the moment, but as from next Wednesday we're relocating to a place called Lymm, near Warrington (so not far from you ShellBell).

I usually lurk on here whilst in work (wonder if I'll be able to do that at my new job?) but tend not to post that often as due to moving, I won't have any money for Disney trips for a while :(

I've only been to Disney twice, in October 2001 with family, and in October 2003 with Lindsay and a couple of friends.

04-30-2004, 05:34 AM
Nice idea Kaylee :D

I'm Paul B (hence Peebee as a nickname :D) and have been posting on and off on the boards for the last four years or so - doesn't time fly...can't really remember how I found my way here in the first place but very glad I did.

Home is in Woking, Surrey with DW Helen and DS Ryan (1 year old next week), and slightly mad cat Bobo. Got engaged at Disney in 2000 and then part of the honeymoon 3 years ago.

We've been to Florida about 7 times now (I think - starting to lose count - oh dear!), and our next holiday begins on Sunday :hyper: We're also DVC members so will be staying at our home resort of the Boardwalk, and taking my mum along for a nice break in the sunshine.

As well as the Boardwalk we've also stayed at Port Orleans Riverside (when it was Dixie Landings), Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs (just for a night!), the Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge Villas and Old Key West. BW is still the fave, although WL was lovely too.

This will probably be our last trip to the US for a little while, as we've just found out that Ryan will be getting a little brother or sister (hopefully not both ) towards the end of the year.

Fave park is Epcot, probably because of the huge variety to be found there. Rides, attractions, food and fireworks - what more could you ask for?

Ok well hello all, I'm Annabel (Anz is my nickname) and I'm 31, married to a welshy called Andy. We met via Yahoo chat 3 and a bit years ago and have been together ever since. Andy proposed after we'd only been together 3 weeks. We got married in August 2002. We live in Porth, South Wales at the moment but are starting to plan our relocation to South East London - I was born in London so am a cockney wench at heart. Hubby fancies a complete change and hates his job, hence the move - am looking forward to moving back I must admit.

We have no kids but 3 pets - 2 dogs, Deefer who is nearly 11 and Woody who is 9 months old and a little pickle, and 1 cat called Foofoo (no I didn't name her ;) ) and she's nearly 3. They are our babies as far as we are concerned.

I first went to WDW in 1989 when I was 16 with my parents and my brother and fell in love with it, tried desperately to get back and finally managed it in March 2003 when I persuaded hubby he'd love Florida. It was a close call - 8 hours in to the flight he was swearing he'd never do it again but thankfully he fell in love with Disney and Florida too so I've finally converted him :Pinkbounc We went back in Jan this year and have booked to spend Christmas at Disney.

I have started collecting pins and beanies - to the extent where I am getting rid of my entire Garfield collection to collect Disney instead :p In my spare time I like to write, swim and spend time with hubby, oh and of course plan those future trips and spend a fair bit of time checking out Disney boards. Oh and my MsPennieLane username is taken from one of my favourite films Almost Famous. My fave characters are Tinkerbell and Eeyore and I love all Disney films. Ok I've written an essay so I'll stop now - next please

Hi there

What a great idea!! Well here goes:-

I'm Mandy (age 40 but try not to admit it), married to Paul (39) and we have two DD's 13 & 11. We're from Nuneaton and love anything Disney. We've been to WDW 6 times and done 2 Disney cruises.

My fave character is Goofy and love getting different photos of him in different outfits - fave photo of this year was Goofy and Mickey in their Mission:Space outfits, but I LOVE my photo of Goofy in his Sailor outfit.

The family all love the Disney characters - but noone is into the Princess's (just TOO girly).

I love these boards and usually check them out twice a day.

Hi I'm Gill and my husband is Tony. We have 3 grown up kids in their 20's.. We've all been to WDW 5 times and last year Tony and I bought into DVC at BCV. With 2 expensive holidays planned for this year and one next March, we shan't get to WDW until Sept 2005 but I'm already planning every detail.

I'm Craig. I am a secret agent, and most of my working week is spent preventing evil overlords from blowing up the planet.

Ok, Ok, I'm an e-commerce manager...but the agent thing is usually easier to explain!!

I'm married to a much older woman called Louise. She is 35 and I'm ONLY 33! Louise is a singer and student nurse (but not usually at the same time)

:p

We have 2 DDs Emily (9 in July) and Rebecca (7 next week.)

We have a dog called Henry, and two cats, Marmalade and Pumpkin, and a rabbit called Potato. You can see my only input to the animals names was the dog!!!

I am obsessed with WDW, and need medical help. I fit a little bit of work in, when I can't find anything else to read on Disney boards.

I've been to WDW around 8 or 9 times, and the rest of the family will be doing their fourth trip this August. My parents are coming with us this time and they are also WDW veterans.

We live in Bolton, in the North West, in a village called Egerton (posh end).

I drive a yellow (I didn't choose it) Focus with a mickey aerial topper on it.

My inside leg is.....oh, is that enough now....sorry!

Hi Everyone

My name is Pam, I'm 37, married to Chris for nearly 20 years now and we live near Peterborough. We don't have kids but we have two nice but dim Bassett Hounds! We both love Disney and have been 4 times so far. Chris has been once more than me but I've told him it doesn't count *** I wasn't with him!

We collect all sorts of WDW stuff, videos, books etc. but when we're not watching/reading those, we enjoy spending time on our motorbikes.

I'm completely addicted to the Disboards, Chris says I've got 'Disboarditis', I logon and time just disappears around me, the outside world ceases to exist - there is only Disney!!!

We've just booked to go to POR next June and we are soooooo excited.

Happy Disneying Everybody

Pam :D

Okay, here goes......................

My name is Jacqui (or Jadie to my friends!!!;) - short for Jacqui-Dawn which is my full name!!!!! ) and I am 38 years old! I live in Wolverhampton with my hubby Mark (37) (Wolfcry on here - though he doesn't post much!) and my beautiful DD Gemma who's 3 and a bit. I was born in Wiltshire but moved up here 17 years ago to live with Mark (we've been together forever!!!). I'm a Community Learning Disability Nurse - which I love - and Mark works for the local council in the Finance dept (he's not an accountant - honest!!!!! :p ;) )

We first went to Orlando in 1992 for our honeymoon and will be returning for our fifth trip in November. This will be Gemma's first trip so it'll be great seeing it all through HER eyes!!! She calls it our 'Magical Holiday' - I think she's watched the planning video too often!!!!! :hyper:

My favourite character is Tigger - wow that's a shock huh?!!! :teeth:

I can't think of anything else.............................................. .........

Hi
I'm Karen age 42 (yikes!) and live in North London.I've been with hubby (who is 41)for 20 years and have 3 sprogs.DS's are 14 and 19 and DD is 17.DS age 14 has Asperger's & 'challenging' behaviour ('challenging'is my favourite euphimism;))

We've been to Orlando 6 times as a family and once as a couple for a week last Feb! We are going on a family holiday in October (oldest son no longer comes,he is all 'loved' up with his steady girlfiend:hyper:) )

SO because our lives are (very) stressful with DS ,the boards and Orlando are what keep me sane.

Although I like Disney it is not the reason I love Orlando. There is so much else to the place,US/IOA,water parks, the natural Florida and beaches and countless things more......which all makes it the prefect family holiday for me.

I work part time as a classroom assistant in a Primary school and work with year 5 children.I also work occasionally at the Thomas Cook I used to work in when they need extra help.I work the the FE.It's great as I still get staff discounts on holidays and holiday money!

Hobbies are the obvious and reading::yes::

It's been great to read about people again.

Hi

I am Jakki 42 in May (yeikes) married to Steve 47 for the past 15 years. We live in Ireland having moved here from London 10 years ago. We have 2 kids DS (just) 7 and DD 6 in July. DS has Autism and DD has Aspergers Syndrome and to quote Kazzie their behaviour can be very challenging at times :)

We've been to Florida 4 times (2 with the kids) and are going again this August with a villa booked for summer 2005 and 2006. :teeth:

It is a great place for us to go as there is so much to do. Again like Kazzie (sorry - I am starting to sound like a stalker  ) this board plus another UK Disney one ;) keep me sane and I enjoy reading all the posts.

I don't work as DS and DD take up most of my time but I am involved in the setting up and running of a parent to parent support group for parents of children with special needs.

Oh and I joined Weight Watchers 18 months ago and so far have lost 4 stone (got another 3 to go)

Hope I haven't sent anyone to sleep

Hi

I'm Richard ;) I'm 36 and married to DW Frances who is 35. We have 2 children - one DS, Joshua, who is 5 going on 40 and DD, Ella who is 8 months. We have lived in West Hill, East Devon for nearly 2 years now with our 2 west highland white terriers. We previously lived in Windsor, Berkshire but moved to Devon due to my job (business consultant - won't bore you with the details ;) :o ) and for a slower pace of life! DW manages and works in a children's day nursery but has taken time out to look after Ella, although will be returning.

We've been going to WDW since 2000 (not that long really!) but soon got addicted. Briefly visited Tokyo Disney is '98, stayed at Disneyland California in '91 and '01 and visited Disneyland Paris many times.

The boards keep me busy and I really enjoy finding out as much information as I can about Florida to improve each holiday. Plus, I like to share any help when I can :) .

DS is Disney-Mad (particularly Stitch mad  ) and DD, Ella seemed to love her first trip to Disney.

:)

Ok, we've been hanging around here for a couple of centuries, so most people know us by now, but for those that don't........

I'm Kev. Mike Jones and I must be the most unimaginative blokes here as we can't be bothered to think up a clever user name.
I'm a rather fragrant and lovely 46 year old. (Me and Mary Archer both, although she is a bit older than me!)
I'm a Quality Manager for a local manufacturing company. Suffice to say our product range is varied, but includes bottle coolers for pubs and condom vending machines. Now there's a recipe for a good party.
I've been to WDW 9 times starting in 1988 and have been a member of the DVC since 2000.

Tam is my wife. She is like a flower. Generally a Venus Flytrap. Just turned 40 and getting to grips with that fact.
She says that she will do her own introduction in a later post as she can't trust me to be truthful. You can't blame her.

Our 2 daughters are India (13) and Georgia (10). Both have been to WDW multiple times and don't realise how lucky they are.

The DIS boards have been part of our lives for a few years now and many a happy hour has been spent at Meets around the country chatting and drinking. Many good friends have been made and I think that is one of the greatest strengths of the Boards, they give people who would never otherwise meet the chance to get to know each other.

Finally, Mike..... sorry to your wife, but I cannot be held responsible for the many hours you've spent here. I mean, you don't shoot the messanger. In fact, I think I should be open to some financial reward for all the excellent advice you will have picked up here over the years. I take cheques.......

Cheers

Kev

Hi - I'm Cath age 33, married to Tony age 36 for 9 years. We live near Glasgow and have 2 boys, Anthony almost 6 and Christopher almost 5. I'm a Deputy Matron in a Private Nursing Home and Tony is a Refrigeration Engineer.

We've been to WDW 3 times as a family and once as a couple, way back in 1996. Our next trip in April next year staying in a villa in Emerald Island.

I am totally addicted to WDW and plan every trip with military precision - which drives DH crazy! I check out the DIS boards every day - just love them so much. Been a DISer for around 2 years I think!

I'm Tammy (long suffering wife of Kevin)

Just turned 40 - but it's not as depressing as I imagined.

I am a System's Administrator at the same company as Kev - been there about 18 months now, compared to his 18 years. But no we don't work in the same office so it's not as sad as it sounds.

As Kev said we have two wonderful daughters, who are my pride and joy, and I love doing all the girly things with them ie clothes shopping, decorating their rooms etc., and of course picking on Kev.

Love Florida and WDW, particularly all the fabulous food on offer and I'm particularly fond of the Gulf Coast especially Sanibel and Captiva for their laid back atmosphere.

First toured all round Florida in 1988 when we did both coasts and all down the Keys to Key West, and have been hooked ever since.

Hi all - no prizes for guessing my name - though I'm known as OrlandoBelle everywhere else.

I'm 37 and live in South Wales although I spent my early DIS years in Portsmouth - can't believe I've been registered here 4 1/2 years alreadyhttp://www.emotipad.com/newemoticons/DropGob.gif. I'm currently working as a PA although by trade I'm a military aircraft controller (retired :teeth: )

Got married in Florida to Steve (who disapproves sooo much of my cyber friends) and we now have 2 daughters (aged 7 & 3) who also have the Disney bug.

Have been to Orlando 8 times - twice with friends, 3 times as a couple, twice with one child, once with two children and we're now planning visit number nine for this December.

I only have one other obsession - Will Young - and am currently planning my summer around the tour

I remember fondly the days before the big crash - when UK DIS was a seperate board to the main DIS and when all our posts were wiped out - showing my age :hyper:

Hi - my name is Becky, but all of my DHs family call me Becks, so I just respelled it to make it a (slightly) more interesting user name!

I'm 35, I live in Chester and I'm married to Oliver who's 41 (I was a child bride!). Ol works in Property Management for the County Council (your guess is as good as mine!?!) and I'm a housewife and mother to our two beautiful little girls - Amy who's nearly 4 and a complete madam and drama queen (adore her really) and Zoe who's coming up to 7 months and thankfully seems more laid back than her sister ever did.

I first visited WDW on a day trip during a holiday in Florida back in '83. Next Disney visit was to DLP the first year it was opened and we have since been back there another four times. Got back to WDW for a week in '96 and a fortnight three years later and now I finally have another trip planned for next January. YEAY. Ol has been a willing travel companion for all these visits except the very first, though given the choice he would rather go camping in the Lake District.

Absolutely love these boards. Would love to get to a DIS meet, but never seem to be in the right place at the right time. Hopefully one day - until then enjoy them while you can! :p

Hi

My name is Mary. I am a wage sloave working for an investment bank (precise nature of my duties is top secret - even from me) Married to DH (name escapes me for the moment) for 33 years ( well I was a child bride). Four children DS 23 & DD 22 have both left home although they turn up from time to time demanding to be fed and watered. DS's 17 & 13 still at home and strongly resisting the parental boot attempting to eject them from the nest. Well I suppose its OK for one of them to linger in order to keep us in the manner in which we wish to become accustomed in our old age.

Due to severe lack of funds never in a position to contemplate trips across the pond when kids were little. DH has a deeply intrenched aversion to parting with cash for any purpose whatsoever.

How did we ever get to Disney? Well I have a fiery Irish temper and love nothing more than a good row to clear the air. DH refuses to argue with anyone on any subject. As you can imagine we are deeply incompatible ( which is why, as my parents said our marriage will never last). As you can imagine I find this complete refusal to enter into any kind of conflict deeply frustrating - the only thing I can do to spark a reaction is to go out and spend serious money. So one day in July 2001 after a particularly frustrating non argument I went out and booked a trip to WDW for October 2002. The resulting row was extremely gratifying. Emboldened by my success on this occassion six months later after a similar non row I went out and bought a car, which also provoked a satisfying response0

That once in a lifetime trip was enough to get us both well and truly hooked and we bought DVC in July last year shortly before our second trip in August last year. First trip home in October this year and we are off to DLP last weekend in May for another Disney fix.

I too have a weight problem (about four stone) and am following WW diet. This is my second week and will be weighing myself for the first time tomorrow.

Kaylee - Bet you are sorry you asked now! This has turned out like War and Peace - I have always suffered from verbal diarrhoea
on paper.

IVe enjoyed reading everyones replies (born nosey, me!!) so I guess I had better take part.

Im Alison (known as Allie to most!), 36, married to my toyboy, Neil, 30 for nearly 8 years. We have two children, Jessamy who is 4 and baby Daniel-Noah who is 18 months. I gave up work to look after the children, so can claim the glamourous title of Domestic Goddess. Neil works in London doing complicated things on computers. We live in Essex but dream one day of moving to Florida!

Our first trip to WDW was back in 1995, and it was that trip we got engaged. The following year we were married in Florida (funds didnt allow a Disney Wedding...Neil insisted we had to buy somewhere to live instead), but we still had a great day. One day we will renew our vows at the Grand Floridian Wedding pavillion!

We try to get to Florida every year, and this year will be trip number 8. The children love it and have been every year of their lives so far (including each of them in my tummy BEFORE they arrived!!).

This year we are looking forward to more fab meals, another Illuminations Cruise and Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party FOR THE FIRST TIME!! We are soooooo excited and its only May!!

Hello everyone
I've had great fun reading this thread, so thought I'd add my 2p.

My name is Leise, I live in Hitchin in Herts, but I'm from Wiltshire originally. I live with my dh of 9 years, and we have two sons, aged 5 and 2.5. My 5yr old is autistic (can recite Trip planning video by heart, lol), and I too have just started going to WW (there's a theme here isn't there!) First weigh-in Thursday, as no meeting on BH!

First went to WDW in 1993 with dh, when we became "disneyfied", as he puts it, and we took the boys for the first time in Jan 2003. We all had the most wonderful time and have spent all our money time and effort into getting back there asap.
DIS for me is also an escape from the pressures of my day (as a domestic goddess), and Disney is one of my obsessional hobbies along with Arsenal (dh & I met at Highbury..) and Harry Potter.

At the moment we are counting the days to our short trip to DLP, just can't wait

Hello - my name is Elaine and am 44. Married to Bruce and a DINK and planning our first trip to WDW in 4 weeks. Had been to Orlando before but went nowhere near a theme park. After spending the only really good day of last years Paris holiday at Disneyland, we decided to spend 15 days in Orlando this year and hit the Parks. I found this site through the Brit's Guide and so far have booked 'Astronaut Training at Kennedy, Swiming with Dolphins at Discovery Cove, Dinner with Shamu, 2 Character breakfasts at Disney, 1 Character meal at Disney, Around the World on a Segway at Epcot, Gator safari at Night, Pirate and Arabian Nights show, Baseball in Tampa' and also going near Fort Lauderdale for an overnight stay to go to a BBQ!! When I have not been planning all this, I and DH go to all of Spurs home and away games and even find time for other hobbies such as crafts and computing. Have picked up some great tips from these boards and only hope that the holiday turns out better than my last - with all I have planned cannot see it being anything else but better.

I have been registered for some time, but i dont post too much. It always seems that others have asked the questions i have so I dont have a need. We are taking the boys for there first visit in September, although DW & I have been 7 times in the past, starting on our honeymoon in 1995. We try & go to WDW every year as I need my Disney fix to cure the worries of a job with a fund manager. We are expecting a completely different trip this year, ensuring that we take it at the boys pace rather than my usual non-stop 9am through 7pm days in the parks.

I'm Beth 22, engaged to Martyn who is 26, we have one child who is Chelsea-Marie she is 4 1/2 years old, We all love Disney been going to WDW since 2002 when we first went with my Brother and his wife, since then we have been every year and this will be our 3rd time, so now we are Frequent Virgins, ah! :hyper:
We live Near Manchester, More Bolton Side...if you know what I mean!!

This Disney trip is out last for a while :( well we keep saying that but still seem to book again, but this is our last trip I am sure of that, thats why this trip is for 4weeks and DP's mother and father and Neice are coming along, so fingers crossed this will be a great hol!!

I collect disney figurines from the art of disney, dp seems to collect more and more clothes and trainers, and dd collects everything disney in sight, our dis hols seem to cost a small (dp laughs while I type this)!! fortune but its all worth it!

Hi, I'm Tony, married to Sam and have 2 daughters, Hannah 12 and Zoe 8. I refuse to give my age, but I'm 3 years older than Sam and she's still 29. Been together for 22 years (since I was 18) and been married nearly 16 years.

Why, Sid ? Well I was a Sex Pistols fan, and the nickname kind of stuck. For those who were too young, or old, that's Sid Vicious.

I live in a Buckinghamshire village, recently voted the 6th most desireable place in England. I'm Bucks born and bred, having never lived outside of the county.

Recently finished building our home which ended up a bizarre shape thanks to the planners. Don't have any animals, apart from the kids, who vary between pigs, monkeys, and angels. OK so angels aren't animals but you get my drift.

I'm 36-24-36 and want to help starving children. Sorry wrong board. I'm an Inventory Manager for a telecommunications company, and am dead bored. I'd look for something else, but you know how it is. Sam works for a pharma.... drugs company. Thought about selling up and travelling the world, but don't think we're brave enough.

Have been to Florida 3 times, but won't be going back for a while. There are too many other places to visit. So far on our list are Costa Rica, Thailand (yet again), Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia, Sri Lanka etc.

Hi my name is Donna. We are off to WDW for the 9th time this Christmas. 10th for my hubbie and youngest as we messed up with our eldest still being on our passport after her 16th birthday (supposed to have joined them 2 days later, but never did make it as passport office dragged their feet), anyway that's another story!!!!!!!!!!

My brother and his family came with us for their first trip last Christmas and have got the Disney bug big time, so we are all going again this Christmas :thewave: :thewave: (that's us all this Christmas!)

We were going to have a break and try somewhere else. I then found this site and discovered all the things we still have not done, so we just have to go back - well it would be rude not to!

So if you see us 3 men and 7 girles this Christmas around WDW say 'hello'.

:chat:

Oh my goodness, good job I previewed my reply before posting I said something which was NOT swearing about the passport situation, but it put 4 stars in front of the 'ed' which made it look very rude, just off to change it:blush:

I'm Andrew,

Born in Guernsey but moved to mainland aged seven. I won't say how old I am, but my Father in Law is 92 and my eldest grand-daughter 14.

My wife was born in Brooklyn and her parents moved down to Daytona about the same time aswe married. As a result, we have visited Florida most every year since we married, sometimes twice.

At first we would day-trip to Disney, one park each time we visited. We visited Magic Kingdom when they still gave out strips of ride tickets (for A, B, C, D and E rides). on later trips we visited Epcot, MGM and Universal in the years that they opened.

As well as the parks we have also travelled extensively throughout Florida on various trips from Pensacola to the Everglades to Key West.

Six or seven years back I started to use a wheelchair And found I couldn't use the bathroom at my father-in-law's house. Since then we have stayed on-site at Disney when we visit and he comes out to meet us there. Disney is an exceptionally good holiday location for us 'wheelies' because everything (except a few of the rides) is so accessible.

We fell in love with the Boardwalk but by the time my wife had convinced me we should buy into DVC, Boardwalk had sold out. We are therefore DVC owners at Wilderness Lodge, though we have never stayed in the villas there.

We have the luxury of being able to take our vacations outside of school holidays and have just enough points to stay three weeks three years out of every five.

Andrew

As I'm awake at this ridiculous hour (restless baby!) I might as well join in!

I'm Jo married to G with a daughter Molly. We live in Coventry (so not quite one of the Nuneaton Crew but I probably have passed some of you in Asda!)

G and I both 'Disneyed' as children and then honeymooned there in '99. This year will be Molly's first visit though I suppose she has (kind of already) been to Disneyland Paris as we went whilst I was pregnant!

I collect the Pooh and Friends figures. My husband is grateful that we don't live nearer a DisneyStore as Molly and I are both nightmares in there - he *thinks* that having a toddler in tow will curtail our shopping in Florida in November (as if!)

'Bruce' from Finding Nemo is currently Molly's favourite character and mine... I'll have to have 2: Eeyore and Flounder (from the Little Mermaid)

All is quiet now so goodnight!

Hello and good morning. Allow me to introduce myself. With apologies to Abraham Lincoln, I'm the 'American Cousin.' I stumbled into your group about five years ago, looking for directions in London, and haven't left yet. For those who don't know me, I'm Joe. My wife, Patricia, and I have been married 28 years next month, and we have 4 children; Julie, Tim, Terry, and Emily. Due to our closer proximity to WDW (only 1200 miles) we have been there about 25 times since we were married. (we can drive there) Actually, we went to Disneyland on our honeymoon. I retired last year from the police department, and this has been, in a term I learned from this site, my 'gap' year. I am now going back to school to earn my teaching certificate, and hope to be teaching high school full time in a year.
We are great travelers, in addition to WDW, and were very lucky to meet some wonderful people from this group last Dec. in London.
This is a great site. I love being here and away from all the 'debate' hooey on some of the boards here now. Thanks for not throwing me out like old fish. Hope to 'meet' more of you in chat, or on the next trip over to your place.
Best,
Joe aka Profdsny.

Blimey!

I just realised that I've not actually posted to this myself :o

Well, for those that don't know me...

My name is Penny and I'm 35 years old and I live in East London with my boyfriend Simon.

I work for a glossy magazine publisher in central London doing the typesetting for the small adverts at the back. It's very much a deadline orientated job meaning that for a couple of weeks a month I'm really busy, but for the other two weeks it's dead quiet! Lots of time for DIS'ing projects ;)

No pets except for some tropical fish - my favorites being my black and white polkadot molly's - the fishy equivalent of a dalmation, though not quite so cuddley, LOL.

I'm a Webbie on the site here now but before that (a year or so now) my user name was Disneymad and boards I've 'worked' have been UK Trip Planning, DVC, Restaurants, Resorts, Tech Support, and currently I mod on the Cruise Forum :)

At the moment I have actually sent off my CV to Disneyworld to hopefully be part of the cultural representation project, which basically entails working in the united Kingdom part of the world showcase at EPCOT, which i am very excited about. I've had alot of support from my parents and friends, although i beleive it isbecause they want the discounts etc hehe. Anyway that was me and hope everyone is well.

DH works in computers and I work for a small mail order company - general dogsbody. I have been to California twice - with my Mum back in the 80's and as a family we have been to Florida once, back in Oct 2000. We stayed offsite for 9 days and then the gulf coast for a week to recover. We can't wait for next year when we are staying at ASMo for 2 weeks and back to the same villa for a week to recover. I love planning things and have already sorted out an itinerary!!! Am busy trying to find cheap tickets etc for other attractions. My favourite character is Eeyore, both DHand DS are Tigger mad and DH does a VERY good impression of a Tigger laugh and growl!! Anyway love these boards, check them out at least twice, if not 3 times a day. Keep up the good work.

No - I'm not at that publishing house. Without sounding too snobby LOL, my company has less titles but they are 'nicer' ones - more glossy! It's an incestous business though - I know a few people who work there :)

Hi there!!

I'm Suzi, I've been posting on and off for the last (gah!! ) 4 years or so.

I'm a completely Disney obsessive (although aren't we all?), especially with the animated films. I've been to WDW three times, and I'm planning my fifth trip to DLP at the moment.

I've just finished my first year at the University of Southampton, studying music, which I love. I'm trying to pay off my overdraft at the moment working at Chelsea football ground, which is a lot of fun!

Pootle
07-20-2004, 01:46 PM
Pootle is one of my cats and I don't think I've visited this board before - I normally check out the Trip Planning and DVC boards (both UK & US) more times a day than is good for me ::yes::

I've just celebrated my 30th anniversary with DH and friends at what appeared to be a building site on the Costa del Sol not too far from Marbella - so I do go to places other than Florida :D

I truly have lost count of the number of visits I've made but I guess it would be in the region of 30 odd :o (but we do usually visit Orlando and somewhere else when I go with my chauffer, aka DH). I'm happiest when I'm in planning mode (for holidays of course) for myself or friends so finding these boards (I'm another who followed Kevin Stringer!) was great.

My working life was as a happy-in-the-classroom (but not the out of hours marking/preparation bit) secondary teacher and it is great not to have to go away in school holidays any more. DH likes Orlando, loves DVC accommodation but (and I shall whisper this) can take or leave Disney. It was different when our son was young, but these days he's happy if I don't take him into the parks too often. Fortunately I also go away with a good friend and she and I do the parks, so I don't mind.

One final thing, I may live in the south but I'm a northerner - born in St Helens, lived mostly in West Lancs and taught in Wigan (and Hemel Hempstead). When DH retires (a long time off alas) I expect to return but for now I'm quite happy here, and in Florida

Hello there,
Kaylee gave me a link to this thread so thought i'd introduce myself properly.
My name is Rachael and happily married to Simon with a son Hudson aged almost 2 and Daughter Ellica aged 4. We have lived in Suffolk for a couple of years now after being out priced house wise from Surrey. The majority of my family are in Cornwall and i consider myself a west country girl at heart.
I work full time as a junior ward sister at the local hospital, just love nursing and never wanted to do anything else.
Like most people family time is precious and there never seems to be enough of it which is why we are so looking forward to our first visit to the world. We have done DLP to death over recent years but i'm led to understand WDW will be a thousand times better.
So glad to have found this site and people who know where i'm coming from with this love of all disney. God knows where i get it from as my parents never took us to theme parks and hate any sort of commercialism ( born to hippies can u tell!!). Luckily my hbbie is almost as mad about the mouse as me.

I am a nurse on a dialysis unit, and hubby works as a manager at PCworld.

We have finally booked our first WDW hols for June 2005 and Im excited already!!!!!!! we are staying in a gorgeous villa, although we really wanted to stay onsite but decided that villa was the best option with 2 kiddies so little. we are going to book some meals at the onsite hotels and have a good nosey round in anticiaption of our next trip when hopefully we can stay onsite.

I really enjoy coming on the boards and getting loads of useful info you wouldn't have found out otherwise, just visiting the boards certainly puts you in relaxed holiday mood, THANKYOU!

Ok,
I will have a go.

I am Rob, i am 33 and live in Lancashire with Sarah 32 my wife along with Bethany 5 and Victoria 3. I have no pets as i am allergic to almost everything. Only been a member for a short while and offered my wisdom on DLP transfers from CDG.
I have been to DLP twice now, once a few years back on a works social trip to the bonfire celebration staying in the Cheyenne. The second was March just gone on the kids go free offer staying in the Sequoia Lodge hotel, both where excellent visits but very cold. Time for Disney and Sun!
We have booked for Orlando as it says below for October 14th to 28th 2005 with tradewinds, flying with Virgin and staying at the Howard Johnson plaza hotel and suites, with a free suite upgrade. Think we are more excited than the kids, especially at the thought of hundreds of hours overtime to pay for it...
Boards recommended by Tron[ADS] along with Simons book.

Great to see such a close community.

Sharing our house are a really cute russian dwarf hamster called Maximillian (the name is bigger than the hamster), TJ the stuffie and of course JJ Penguin; the inspiration for www.jjpenguin.com .

My first trip to WDW was in 1974, there was only the MK and the Contemporary , the Polynesian and Fort Wilderness. After that nothing...........................

....................................till I got re-moused at DLP in 1996. After that there was no stopping me and we've since visited WDW almost every year, done the cruise once and are proud DVC owners at OKW! If we really can't make WDW I'll settle for DLP, but it's just not the same! :)

Hi there! My real name is Claire ( not a secret as I am always signing my posts as such) and January will be my 3rd trip to the magic. First was New Years 1989 and the 2nd was January 2002. I have a timeshare at Whyndham Palms just off the 192. I'm 26, DH is 27, and 3 kids; DD5, DS3 and DS8 months. He will have his 1st birthday in WDW!
Love just about everything about WDW and cannot choose between parks for a favourite. My favourite character at the moment is Stitch but I will always love Tigger. DH wanted to tell you his is Donald.
Am slightly addicted to these boards and can be found lurking at restaurants, trip reports, attractions and strategies (UK and US), ok just about anywhere and am so excited I might burst by January.
Maybe a January UK meet in WDW should be arranged?
Much love and pixie dust,
Claire

Hello!!

Real name is Karen Williams.
I am 26, and just got married to Simon, and we spent our honeymoon in Sept at Coronado Springs, which was wonderful.

Have now been to WDW 4 times, and have stayed at All Star Music once, All Star Movies, and most recently CS.

Have always loved Disney, and dreamed of going to WDW for the first 18 years of my life, but then my dream turned to reality, and now I can't stay away!:earsgirl:

No kids yet, by we do have the most adorable bunny called Charlie, who is about 6 months old (bless him!).

We live in Wellingborough.

Fave park has to be Animal Kingdom, as I love animals about as much as I love Disney World.
We saw a new baby Elephant on Kilamanjaro Safaris last month, and it was only 8 weeks old (it made me cry, it was so cute!).

Fave ride for us both, this trip was Tower of Terror as we both hadn't been on it before (too chicken!) but we loved it!!
I also love the Winnie the Pooh ride in Magic Kingdom!!

xx

So.....whens your next trip? :)

Tink78
10-08-2004, 02:00 AM
Hmmm, probably not for a long, long time now.
That makes me very sad, but as we have just got married we will probably think about having kids within the next 2 years, and we want our next trip to be with them, when they are old enough to enjoy it, so probably in about 8 years!!!

But deep down, I don't think we will wait that long (I just can't do it!) so hopefully maybe in 4 years, but that's the very earliest (boo hoo!).

What about you?

Hi, I'm Elaine (43) married to Bryan (45) and we have three daughters aged 12, 9 and 8. We live in Bournemouth with our two Sheltie dogs. I had always wanted to go to Disneyland since I was a little kid (this was in the days before WDW had opened and every Bank Holiday Monday the BBC would show Disneytime with clips of disney films and the parade down Main Street!) AM I SHOWING MY AGE OR WHAT!!!LOL

Well, my dreams finally came true last April and when I boarded the ferry and saw Cinderella's castle in the distance, it felt like I'd come home! Luckily Bryan is as mad about Disney as me, and well...the girls don't have any say in it!!!

We are going to visit DLP next year and then plan to return to WDW in 2007. I have mixed feelings about DLP but could not wait three years for my next fix of pixie dust! I am looking forward to seeing Sleeping Beauty Castle at DLP, and would also like to visit Disneyland at Anaheim to see the original castle.

Hi all,

I've enjoyed reading all the other posts, and decided I should add my two penny's worth in. My name is Maureen and I live few miles from London, I'm 42 yrs old and single (still waiting for my prince to come hahaha).

My first trip to disney was at aged 39, and I have'nt looked back since. I just can't get enough of it. (My fear of flying kept me from going to disney any sooner, but I'm proud to say I'm no longer scare of flying.)

I've managed to convert my sister & niece in all things disney, just trying to work my way through the rest of the family now. I read the Disboards every night without fail, can't go to bed unless I've read all the daily threads. I would like to thank every one who has posted past and present, as I"ve picked up so many tips and advice from you all.

Continue the disney magic...... maureen4200040

This will be our first trip to WDW and indeed Florida, in fact, this will be our first ever holiday.:Pinkbounc

I will be looking for some major help with planning my trip in the next couple of weeks so if you have any tips I would be so grateful, especially what to do about Christmas Day!!

But for now I will love you and leave you. :wave2:

Until next time,

Hi!

I'm Julie-Anne, I'm 34, work for Her Majesty (Prison Service), and have an 8 year old son, Conor, who is my world!

I also have my DP, Michael, who, to be honest, is a pain in the ***! But I guess there must be something there eh?

I've only been to WDW once in December 2001, with Conor, and I've become addicted since! As you can see, I return for my 2nd trip in 12 days. Yippee!

My loves are Disney (of course), Duran Duran (still, after 20 years), Lord Of The Rings, Animals and travelling, eating, drinking and sleeping.

I'm currently doing my ABTA certificate, as my ideal job would be to work in a travel agent's, talking to people about holidays all day long! Purr-fect!

Hi

Just noticed this thread. I'm John. I'm 26, nearly 27 and live just a bit west of Glasgow, Scotland. I have been to WDW.. umm.. 10 times I think with my mom and sister and we are planning on going back January 2005. We've also been twice to DL Resort, California and a few other places in the US/Canada as you can see from my signature.

I have a lot of american relatives in Maryland and am hoping to perhaps relocate there in a few years' time. I had plans to go to Canada previously, but things have changed somewhat.

That seems about all for now. :)

I haven't visited this site in such a long time, I reckon I had best re-introduce myself.

My name is Bill, and as my screen name implies, I am from the United States. I am married these 10 years to Susan and our daughter Olivia is just 6.

My wife and I feel particularly attached to the UK, since she went to school and worked there for 8 years (University of Essex), and I visited the UK several times when I was in the U.S. Marines.

One of the things we love best about Disney is interacting with our British friends, especially those visiting for the first time.

Cheers,

Bill

It has been a while hasn't it? I have been rather busy of late, but I have been thinking about a visit to this site for some time now. I have missed you all.

Our last trip was in August, 2004... and we will be back again in August '05.

How are things with you and yours? All is well I trust?

Right OK, I've finally plucked up the courage to post!!

Hi, my Name is Kelly and I'm from Reading, Berkshire (noticed a few others from Reading too!) I'm 23 years old (just!) No babies for me yet, just my 8 month old puppy Sabre, he's a German Shepard x Rottweiler. I have an adorable 4 year old nephew Callum, who I spoil rotten with as many Disney presents as possible!!! Been with my Scott, my 'significant' other for just over 4 years!

I lurk here as often as I can, and I love it here! Everyone was so helpful when I was planning my first trip! Haven't been here much in the last year, but I have a new job, and I have internet access so can come and play here every week day!!

My other loves are Harry Potter (books!) and Lord of the Rings (Films!)

I've been To DLP twice, first time was a hen weekend! Stayed at Santa Fe. The second visit I took my mum on a surprise trip to DLP in July stayed at Newport Bay. She didn't have a clue!! Went to the 'World' for the first time in November 2003, flew out on my 22nd birthday! We stayed a week at Royal Pacific and a week at All Stars Movies. Have just booked my next trip, 27th November 2005! First week at Hard Rock, and a week at Port Orleans. (Save the best til last!!) Less than a year of planning, I had better get my skates on!!! ;)

I Love all things Disney!! Couldn't possibly pick one favourite. Hmmm Mickey or Pooh! I can't pick!

Well thats me in a large nutshell! Hi! :wave2:

Okay - I might as well break down and do this.

I'm Sharon (pushing 40), married to Jerry (over 40), we're coming up on our first anniversary next month. I have a son Evan (16) and Jerry has two daughters, Gabrielle (9) and Marissa (7). We have a Pug (thus the screen name) named Dawson.

I am a program consultant (performing quality assurance) for the state's food stamp and welfare programs. Jerry is a (wireless - cell phone) engineering technician. The kids ... they are students.

I've been to WDW 6 times now and DLP once. Jerry has two WDW visits under his belt (including his first trip, where he proposed to me in front of Cinderella's castle). Evan has been to The World 5 times and DLP once. The girls made their first trip this past June. We have vacationed in WDW with the Stringers twice now and they were gracious enough to play hosts when we hopped across the pond last summer.

I followed Kevin here from another discussion group and have mostly been lurking.

So ... hello to all!

My names Dave and I'm 31 :charac2: , (sounds like a confessional this)!

I've been to Florida twice before, the last time just three months ago, and am looking forward to taking my girlfriend Karen and son Matty in September for three weeks. This will be the best trip ever as Karen has never been to Disney or Florida before and therefore has no idea what to expect! Karens favourite character is Piglet from Winnie the Pooh (dunno whether this counts as a Disney character?), but mine will remain a secret! :earboy2:

I'm a Leeds lad, though I moved to a small village just outside Pontefract a few months ago. Karen and I still work in Leeds City Centre, for a major insurance company, the one with the red phone!

I'm determined to spend more time at Disney this time having glossed over the Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom on my two previous visits, and who knows, I may even ask Karen a special question in front of Cinderella's Castle?!!

Look forward to chatting with you all!!

I found the DIS after running very fast away from another board on the web where I found postees rude and unfriendly. Here seems a much nicer type of peoples and I am looking forward to gleaning information for my next trip from each and every one of you!

Hello All,

My name is Julie and I currently live in West London. I am 38, married for 14 years to hubby and we have 3 kids. Daughter 18, son 12 and another daughter 9.

I was born in Windsor, but my parents emigrated to Canada when I was a babe and returned to UK when I was 12. They decieded to live in Plymouth where I happily went to high school at Plymstock Comp until 16, when I got very fed up with being told what to do by these old kill joys that new nothing (quite a shock when it hits you that you are now an old kill joy yourself and you know nothing lol) and got a job in lovely North Devon. Met hubby (Scotsman and quiet mad) and at 19 deceided that I wanted to be a pub manager. So here I am 19 years later and still running pubs. Currently run a big well know chain restaurant/bar.

Fell in love with Disney at 1990 when hubby and I finally got wed in Vegas and drove down to Los Angelas and visited Disneyland. Went to WDW for the first time in 1996. We are going back for the 3rd time this Oct. We are taking my Brother in Law, his wife and their two kids with us this time. We have always stayed off site on I Drive and love it.

After flitting in and out of this great forum I thought it was about time I stopped being rude and said hello.

DH and I have been going to Orlando every summer since 2001 (when the kids were financially independent and we could afford to go every year!!! :rotfl: ) and Rhiannon and I started going to DLP last Easter and have been 3 times so far. Hi everyone!!

I have come onto this board for the first time today - I go onto the DLP board regularly but my Mum diberry (3 posts up!) suggested I have a look on here so here I am!

Well obviously you can look at my Mum's post to find out about me! I'm 22 and I live with my boyfriend Dave in Nottingham. I wanted to go to WDW from the age of 6, and when I was 13 Mum and Dad gave in and said we could go - we spent my 14th birthday there which was amazing! I don't think Mum and Dad were that bothered about going but once they got into the magic they were completely convinced!

We went again to WDW in 97 but I have since developed a huge fear of flying and refuse to get on a plane which makes getting to Orlando a bit of a mission! Mum & I have been to DLP 3 times now, so I'm still getting my Disney fix, although when I'm rich enough to have some hypnotherapy I'll be right back on that plane to Orlando and hopefully to California too!!

My other obsession/bank account drain is my team Nottingham Forest; I've had a season ticket for 8 years now - yes I know I must be mad but it runs in the family!!

Hi there DVC folks, just got back from 22 day trip to good old Disney(we stayed "everywhere' in WDW including 7 day cruise on Magic) all on points, what a great system.
We (my wife Lesley & me) joined last year @ SSR & are still kicking ourselves for not joining earlier. We live in Wallington, Surrey with our 2 sons Mark & Daniel. We are long term Disney fans having been to WDW approx 8/9 times over the past 12 years. What do we do? well I'm a mad West Ham fan, very mad Who fan, & play lawn bowls, plus run a very busy printing firm in Acton, West London. Lesley moans about putting on weight, me going to watch West Ham, playing bowls & playing Who cds to loud in the car. Apart from that we still enjoy visiting Disney often & staying in all those lovely DVC properties.

Our eldest daughter got married in Disney's wedding pavilion, followed by cake and champagne & dancing with Mickey Mouse at the Grand Floridian Resort, Dinner in full wedding regalia at the California Grill and a speciality cruise to the Seven Seas Lagoon to watch the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom exploding overhead.

We are going back to WDW on 15th June for 18 days, then on 27th Nov for 2 weeks and we are already planning our trip for next year 3 weeks from 20th May 06. this place is addictive!
We now go back as just a couple and are annual passholders staying in Disney resorts and loving every minute. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Carol, I've never posted here either so I will too.

Nice to meet you - lucky you with your 3 or 4 holidays per year - one of the perks of being a travel agent I guess. :goodvibes

Anyway, I am Lynn. I am married with 2 kids - DS Luke who'll be 7 in a couple of weeks and DD Rachel who will be 6 in August.

DH (Philip) and I have been to Florida twice and the kids have been once. When DH and I went it was pre AK and so when we took the kids (for a week in 2003) we went to AK and MK. Also did KSC and spent a day at the beach that trip. Last year we all went to Disneyland in Anaheim but this year we're looking forward to doing ALL the Orlando parks. We've got 17 days there, we leave in 12 days and I am very excited.

:wave2: for now....

Hi all :) Thought I might as well introduce myself!

So... I'm Emma, a 17-year-old from North Devon. I live with my parents and my 15-year-old sister, Lucy. I've been seven or eight times (I can never remember!) to Disneyland Paris and twice to Disney World Orlando. I'm determined to go to all the Disneylands one day! Last time I went to Disney Paris was 2001 and the last time I went to Disney World was 2003. I've only ever stayed in one of the Disney Hotels, and that was Hotel Cheyenne when I was about 10. And I'm hoping to go back to Paris in October this year!

Nice to meet you all. :earboy2:

Hi everyone!
I have been posting on the DIS site for a couple of months now but have only just - shock horror - dicovered the UK Board!
My name is Veronica, i am 33 and live in Essex.
I have a gorgeous hubby and an even more gorgeous 8 year old daughter. Oh and i am a total Disney Addict!!!
The first time i visited Disney was for my 30th birthday and was meant to be our 'holiday of a lifetime'. Needless to say it didn't stop there and next year will be our third trip! The first time we booked Port Orleans but were upgraded to the Dolphin - wow - what a view! Imagine your first time in Disney, being pretty hysterical about being there, stepping out on your balcony and having a perfect view of The Tower of Terror!!! It made my day!!! The next time we stayed on I-Drive but next year we will be 'going home' and staying at All Star Movies! We will be going with friends who have never been before so i can't wait to show them the sights. Well that's about me done i think! Hope i haven't waffled on for too long!xxx

Hel,lo again, all!

My name is Bill and as you can see, I am from the eastern United States.

I have been posting at the UK Dis for a long time, but Ihave been away for many, many months, so I thought I would re-introduce myself.

Both my wife and I have been to the UK (She went to university and lived there for 8 years). We enjoy meeting British and Irish friends when they come to Orlando.

I'm not sure if I have already posted a reply on this thread so here's another one anyway!!

I'm 27, married (almost for 1 year!) and live in Wellingborough.
We have one very cute and adorable bunny called Charlie (although he isn't so adorable at the moment as he has taken a shine to digging up the plants in our garden!).

I have been to WDW 4 times now, and always stayed on site.
Last trip was in Sept 04 for our honeymoon.
We were supposed to stay at AKL but due to the hurricanes there last year, our honeymoon got cancelled and we had to re-book it for 10 days later and couldn't get into AKL.

As we decided we didn't want to wait any longer, we decided to book into Coronado Springs instead which was lovely.

Next trip to WDW will be in about 4-5 years time I guess as we might start trying for a little one next year which will mean it won't be worth going until he/she is a bit older.

My fave Disney films are Mulan, Lion King, Mary Poppins and Finding Nemo (I love Dory!!).

Hi,

My name is Mitch. Husband of Lisa. Father of Jake and Tegan.

Not only am I a Florida nut - but also love the rest of the USA. We have been travelling to the states for 20 + years, so have been more or less everywhere. The only major city that I have not visited yet is Seattle but will hopefully get there soon.

We usually go to Orlando at least once a year, but August 2005 will be our third trip this year. Can't get enough of the place. Theme parks, food, shopping, beaches, weather, T.V. love it all.

Hi all

My name is Steve Chase, I am married (for 12 years in Oct 05) to Jacqui (together for 17.5 in total). We have Bethany who is 8, Ellie just gone 6 and Joshua who is 1.5. We live in Stourbridge in the Black Country and I work for a small software supplier in Wolverhampton, Jac works for Travelodge.

Jac and I went to Florida for the first time in Sept 1989, in fact I found our park tickets a few weeks back, how time flies. We went back again with the girls in April 02, on site at ASM for nearly 3 weeks, the drive back from Gatwick was awful after the most fantastic hols ever. We are going back in April next year, hopefully flying to NY and then a weeks drive down.

In 2 weeks we are off to Cuba for 3 weeks, I have to meet Fidel before he slips off this mortal coil and enjoy a rum and a cuban cigar with him.

Found this site, cant remember, but hi to all.

Hi All

My name is Adrian and I am 34, I have a fantastic wife, Mandy who is 31, and 3 wonderful children: Chelsea who is 10 (and don't we know it ), Kyle who is 8 and an absolute star, and Lauren who is 6 and the female equivalent of Damien[OMEN]-But absolutely adorable!!!

Our 2 eldest both have Cerebral Palsy, Chelsea has difficulty walking long distances, whereas Kyle is able to walk with the assistance of a frame or sticks.

We have yet to visit DLP, I am going to surprise them with a post-xmas holiday this year.

I think DLF will have to wait until Lauren is a couple of years older.

I hope to learn loads from you all prior to going on our first trip, I am sure the first of many
