I live in West Point, NY..so I'm not sure exactly where Schwan's delivers to...but, I have to share some of my purchases!
Yesterday I got a package of Turkey Mignon (Turkey with bacon wrapped around the edges) and I just had one...deeeeeeelicious and only 3 carbs!!! I feel like I could eat another one, but I won't, hehe.
I also got a fully cooked pot roast in Gravy... it's in the crockpot right now and smells devine! It is also 3 carbs.
When I went through the brochure, I had no idea how many low carb items they had...it's great! Even if the cost is a little more, it's really worth it!

Good to know! I'm your neighbor over here in Beacon. Betcha they'd come my way. It's so nice to hear that the food is good. I think I saw their brochure at Sears next to the freezer section. Thanks for the review!

I was looking at their website & the food looks really good. Is there a delivery charge & do you have to have some sort of contact with them, or can it be a one or two time thing?

I love their veggies -- sugar snap peas are yummy!!! my family likes their biscuits, pot roast in gravy, and much more too (not real WW friendly) they do have some lite ice cream treats too
they have a website -- www.schwans.com -- i think and there is probably a number to call and have a Schwans man of your very own hlane. Beware though -- once you start he will come faithfully every two weeks. My DH always wants to buy something out of guilt or pressure or whatever, however, I have no trouble saying 'nothing this week thanks.' and leaving it at that
there is no delivery charge and the quality is very good. I think their meat is a bit pricey, but again, the quality is very very good

sydally9367 and DVCTiff, I am close to you as well. I grew up half an hour from Beacon in Ulster County, and I shop at the West Point Commissary every month. Just wanted to say Hi there. Also, we have Schwan's here too.

I used to be a regular customer when I was a carboholic but gave them up when I went low... I didn't realize they had so many choices. I have to check them out again!

Their newest brochure has the carb counts on many items and they also identify low fat items.

Hi Otto's!
I'm a little scared about the guy coming every two weeks. I'm still dealing with the calls from Omaha steaks after I broke down and finally bought something from them (not so great really). I'm going to go check out the website now. Thanks for all the great info!

I admit I was VERY apprehensive about him coming every 2 weeks also, but I make it very clear when I don't want something :p My Schwan's man is great about it...I usually just tell him I'm all set or still working on the last order, but I'll see you in 2 weeks! I've never had any problems with him pressuring me to buy...ever!!!

I have moved a few times so in the 15 or more years that i have been buying from shwans i have had several different drivers
they all come every two weeks however NEVER once have i felt any pressure
these guys are great some weeks i order nothing some weeks just $15.00 worth and some weeks i do all my shopping and the order tops $100.00 it never matters they are always friendly and nice even when i say sorry but i'll see you next time
we have gotten to be good friends with two of the drivers one years ago and now our new driver
i just chimed back in on this post to tell everyone who was worried about pressure selling that scwans doesn't work that way
so go ahead try them but be careful there food is so good it's addicting:D

Is there any flour or cornstarch in that gravy? If not, my husband would love to try that roast.

Katholyn, I bet if you go to their website www.schwans.com it would list the ingredients under some type of nutritional info.
