My 12 year old wants to visit Pleasure Island at night this vacation. Is there anything (clubs) we can get into?
Thanks

Yes, he can get into all but 2 of the clubs. (I can't remember what the names of those clubs is.) You will need to be with him, of course.

My recommendation would be to take him early in the evening, before people have gotten too drunk and the really heavy partiers show up. Also, Sunday through Wednesday are the calmest nights. Thursday is when the CMs go, and the locals go on the weekends.

He may want to check out the view in some of the dance clubs, but he'll probably enjoy the Adventurer's Club and Comedy Warehouse the most. The jokes should be appropriate for a 12 year old, but of course you can't make any guarentees about the other guests.

BET and Manniquins are the 2 clubs that you must be 21 or over to enter. All others admit younger but under 18 are required to remain with a parent. Adventurers Club and Comedy Warehouse would be appropriate especially early in the evening. I have seen AC cast rib parents indirectly when the kids are there too late.

Although it's Disney, these places are all bars. Consider whether or not you would take your kids to bars at home. The same stuff will be going on at PI. The humor at AC is usually either off-color (alot of double-entendre kind of stuff) or about drinking alot.

My wife and I enjoy going to PI and try to make it there at least once on every trip. With that said, I can't imagine taking a 12 y/o. My 10 y/o asked about it once and we thought about taking him there early, but just couldn't think of anything to keep him entertained. I mean, there IS stuff that a 12 y/o would get into and enjoy, but the core of PI is the nightclub atmosphere. If you are in DD, take him to Disney Quest, he will have way more fun there than he would at PI. If you do decide to take him, go as early as possible and avoid the weekends.
