This is the first time I'm travelling with 5 people and I'm trying to keep expenses down. We usually rent a car but the rates I'm coming up with are sky high.
Would a limo be the best alternative and is there room for 5 people?

There are also vans that seat 10 passengers that you can get from the towncar companies for less than a limo if price is a concern.

Also, you might want to check mousesavers.com to see if any of the discount codes for rental cars are available for you to use.

We always Tropical Town Car. It costs 75 to 85 round trip and you are able to make a stop and get groceries if you need to. Also you don't have to hassle with all the stops at the different resorts like you would if you were using the bus system.

We have always preferred to use FL Tours for our transportation. Andy is a wonderful guy who will see to it you are taken care of.

FL Tours is the official transportation company of the DIS and by using them we are supporting these boards. I know that I would be lost when it comes to my Disney planning without these boards.

Go to www.fltours.com/reservations.htm and fill out a request, you will see pricing before you ever have to submit the request for a reservation

My recent FL. Tours Review (http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=547396)

Thanks to all of you for your suggestions. I'm going to see how much a town car charges for 5 people.

I do not think that 5 people would fit in a towncar! Definitely not with seatbelts! You would have to rent either a limo or something larger than a towncar. I have seen some rental companies that offer a large SUV that seats up to 8 (including the driver) and is cheaper than a limo.

Most of the website I've seen state a towncar is for 2-4 people. We had 5 on our last trip and we had to use a van....there was no way we would fit in a towncar. Three in the back seat and one in the front if you had 4...short of strapping someone to the hood there would be no room!

3 of us traveled in a town car in October and with our luggage it was a very tight fit. So even if 5 could fit in the car, you'd have to pack very lightly. We've got a large group going in May and for all the people arriving in a group larger than 3 we're getting a van.

Sorry about that I guess I didn't notice the five people but Tropical Town Cars also have vans for $95 round trip for up to 10 people which is still cheaper than the buses.

Least expensive is the public bus system called LYNX. Nothing fancy or special but at $1.25 a person, it is least expensive.

We used it in March. It was very easy to do and the drivers were very nice and friendly. We had allowed two hours to travel and no way did it take that long.
