Does anyone know the sales tax rates in Florida (hotel tax rate, food tax rate...)? Thanks!

But in WDW, the hotel sales tax used to be 11% and 12%, and the food sales tax is 6.5% (I think).

In Orange County where most of WDW is located, the sales tax is 6.5% and the resort tax is 5%. All hotel rooms are taxed for both the resort tax and the sales tax so you are looking at an effective rate of 11.5% total for your room.

In Osceola County (All Star Resorts), the sales tax is 7% and the resort tax is 5% for a total of 12% on your room.

There is no separate meals tax in either county. You will pay the prevailing sales tax rate at all restaurants.

Anyone know why WDW charged me sales tax on admission tickets that I purchased online and had delivered to Alabama?

Because they prob have a presence somewhere in the state of Alabama..a Disney store or an office. If you have a presence, you have to chage sales tax.

Because the tickets can only be used in Florida, they are subject to Florida's sales tax no matter where you purchase them from. You are not taxed on them by your home state, only by Florida.
