I have been trying assiduously to find an airfare from my area that is less than $200 pp. I was hoping that JetBlue would be in this range but so far, no luck. I have found a fare of $148 pp from Spirit from LGA for the dates of 8-19 to 9-3. Can anyone tell me anything good, bad or indifferent about Spirit?
What about Jet Blue? Is there any chance that there rates will dip soon?
Thanks for your assistance.

Hi There, We are flying Spirit out of La Guardia for $170. in May, I have flown them before, not a lot of leg room, clean planes, no food served on plane. Gets you there and back just fine.
You can book online- it will save you money, you can pick your own seats out and print out boarding passes.

I just returned Tuesday from a trip to Las Vegas (from Detroit) on Spirit Airlines (non-stop). I have to say it was a very good flight. The plane left on time (in both directions). Very smooth takeoffs and landings. No food was served, but we were given beverages and pretzels. The plane was clean and the flight attendants were very nice. On the return trip on Tuesday, they offered an upgrade to their Business Class (Spirit Plus) for $40. I took it (since this is a 3.5 hour flight). I was in the first row, given a nice snack box (which sells for $10 in coach) and beverages. There were large leather seats (two across) and I was very glad I took the upgrade.
Anyway, I was happy with Spirit Airlines. It was about $150 less than Northwest.

Hi!
Did you check Song out of Newark? My friends were pleased when they flew in January. Good luck.

Karyn:
I did check out Song. Their rates were a bit high, in my opinion.

I heard about spirit air by word of mouth at work. Many of my bosses use spirit and they have no complaints. I have only used spirit once matter of fact on my first flight and had no problems very little leg room but its only a 2 1/2 hr flight for me. If you sign up for there syber specials sometimes you can get one way for$69

Just got back from our family Disney trip. We flew Spirit out of LGA. The flights were terrific.
We never had to wait at the ticket counter (we arrived 2 hours early). At LGA we had curbside checkin.
By booking online, I was able to get get assigned seats 90 days out. We also booked the flight early, so we had a great rate ($173 RT).

I love Spirit.....We're flying from Chicago/OHare to Orlando in July & got non-stop RT for $143 each. We've always been either on time or early with Spirit & there's never a wait to check in. There are six of us now going on this vacation, so it was nice to select seats so we all could be together.

We flew Sprit out to Vegas last year from Michigan. Seats weren't the most comfy but the ride itself was fine.:D
