The last couple of months, I haven't been eating very well. Things have been crazy with moving to Florida, etc. Besides putting on about 5 pounds, I've been feeling really yucky, tired a lot, heartburn all the time....

So, yesterday I started Induction and this morning I was down 3 pounds already! :Pinkbounc Last night was the first night in a long time that I didn't wake up with heartburn in the middle of the night! It feels so good to be eating healthy again!

In case anyone else is starting Induction, here's my typical diet:

Breakfast: Scrambled eggs with turkey, cheese, sauteed onions and mushrooms

Lunch: Leftover Antipasto salad from dinner last night (cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, a little onion, pepperocinis, zucchini, mushrooms, pepperoni, salami, provolone, turnips - all mixed in Italian dressing)

Dinner: (tonight) Ribeye steak with a slice of cheese melted over it, and a few steamed broccoli spears with butter

Snack: New Dannon low-carb yogurt (3 carbs per container)

Good for you!

Here is my atkins saga.....Last year Jan/May I lost 23 pounds.....felt like a champion....was in a size 6, never hungry, no cravings....then I went to WDW and took the week off. Oh boy.....got back on it somewhat when we returned home, little cheating here and there, but managed to only have about a 5 pound gain over the summer being as busy as I was. Then we went to Cancun where I blossomed to another 7 pounds. Still all in all I still kept plugging along and maintained the 11 pound loss until Christmas......needless to say I gained it all back due to the sugar. I love chocalate and cookies and mad a complete pig of myself. Yuck!:(

So here I am three weeks into a daily moderate excercise plan, with several extra aerobic classes in evenings. And on day 2 of induction again. I would like to lose 5 pounds by the 13 of May so I can breath in my shorts at WDW. And then get at least another 10 off permanently.

My hubby is down 70 plus pounds for over 1 year. I am so proud of him. He does fantastic. Looks fantastic too!

So good luck to both of us with the induction phase again. Heres to a skinnier new you!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

You both can do it and once you start feeling better you'll remember how you stuck to it in the first place. Say goodbye to those "slips." They're OVER. It's so much better this way! :cheer2:

Wish me luck tomorrow as I have a big event with loads of food:( and I am scared I wont have the will power to pass up those cookies. Taking along my cheese, and sausage snack, along with some diet rite. Ugh!!!!

You'll do just fine! Just stick to the veggies, meats, and cheeses! Bring along an Atkins bar, to settle your sweet tooth, just in case of emergency.

Let us know how it goes! Thanks for the encouragement!
