Ive been eating about 20% fat, about 43.44 grams. This is averaged over the past month.
Is this enough? Doc told me last yr to get my fat % under 33. Other people are telling me differently.

Dr. Dean Ornish would be pleased! ::yes:: He recommends a low fat diet to combat heart disease. I wouldn't go much below 20% though, since your body does need "some" fat. If your hair is getting brittle and your nails are breaking easily, then you may not be getting enough fat in your diet.

thank you - I feel better now
I'll keep an eye on my nails and hair but so far, so good
And yes that's why Im doing this - heart disease is hereditary in our family
