Help, I'm a rookie at the Disney planning and am just getting started...there seems to be so much I need to know!!

We want to stay for 8 days in October and I'm thinking it may be best for me to get an AP just to get the better room rate. Can I get a kids AP (it's cheaper) and use that to book the rate? Anyone out there have any experience or opionions on doing this?

Any other advice will be appreciated-this will be our first visit with boys ages 11, 9, & 5. Plan on leaving 3 year old with Grama this time!

For some reason, this question gets some people very riled up. To me the answer is simple. Disney allows you to book a room using the child's AP, as long as the child is with you at check in.
