Well - was I shocked!!!

We were there for 3 weeks, and I would usually expect (pre-Atkins) to gain at least 10 pounds. (The least I ever gained on a vacation was 7lbs and last year was around 15 lbs).

Would you believe I actually lost 3lbs!!!!

I'm so pleased!!

A lot of it is down to my 2 DDs - every time I wanted to eat something I shouldn't, they said 'Mummy, should you be eating that? Does it have carbs in it?' Bless them!

So, I've earned a new clippie in the process!!

Wow! I'm totally impressed. As a matter of fact I'm quite speechless. You did great! I'm sure you are very, very proud of yourself, I am and I don't even know you! You give me hope though that I will be able to have that kind of motivation when I go this summer. I will have to teach my DD the following words, "Mommy, can you eat that?" It sounds like that's what worked for you. You have a great support system there.
You got to spend 3 weeks at Disney? I am soo jealous! I'm waiting for codes to see if we can spend one whole week.

Yes,

This was quite a shock and truly FANTASTIC news - yes, our DDs were very quick to stop Alison eating pancakes and the like.

For me - I let things slip a bit but but only put on 4lbs over the 3 weeks.

Oh - and she won 32,000 points on WWTBAM also!

That is a great accomplishment, Alison, and proof to all of us that it can be done. I'm sure we will all think of you when we're thinking of "slipping" in the MK.

Thanks for your kind words everyone!

Do you know, losing weight made coming home from WDW much less painful somehow!!

Congratulations on both counts! Losing those pounds on a Disney vacation and getting such a great score at Millionaire.

You are an inspiration to those of us planning trips and I'll certainly keep your success in mind when I'm there in a few weeks! Thanks for letting us know it can be done!!! :)

Wow, Alison, that's wonderful. I'm going to keep you in mind when we go visit the World in three weeks. I'll just be happy if I come home without gaining any weight. Congratulations!!:D
