Another fan club card ?

I have a fan club card from last year that i received from tinkbarb, thanks tinkbarb. We have decided to stay at a universal resort for 2 days(RPH). When using the card do they need to know the company you work for or the name of the HR person at the job,(where you are suppose to get the card? or do you just show the card at checkin. TYIA

I think that you don't have to show a fan club card anymore. I'm pretty sure that they just offer the discount and companies aren't giving out the cards anymore.

I booked at the Fan Club rate last week, and I said I had to find my card before we leave. She told me not to worry about it, that they do not require them anymore at check-in. Didn't they offer discounts at restaurants as well? I wonder if they are still honoring those.

There are no discounts for restaurants for fan club card or merchandise:jester:

I made reservations the other day and the reservationist told me that I would have to show my card at check in. But I do not know if that is the deal.

Last October, I used my Fan Club Card at the gate to buy tickets and in shops to get a discount on merchandise and they neither one asked any questions. They glanced at the card and gave me the discount. As a matter of fact, in one shop, he gave me the discount on items that were not supposed to be discounted. He just gave me the discount off the total. That was a great deal. Does that help? :wave2:

A couple of days ago, I booked a vacation packaged and used the fan club discount. The rep asked me for the company name and address for the fan club card. I told them that I would have to get back to them, that I didn't have that information. I gave them the number on my card. They did hold the room, but said that when I called back to confirm the room, I would need that fan club card company information. Does anyone have this info? I did send tinkerbarb a pm.

Oh, my! Please post when you get a reply!! Our family company was too small for Universal to bother with us. That info is something I should pass on.....

Did you use Universal vacations or call the hotel directly? When I talked to universal vacations they asked me this , i wanted to find out the price for length of stay passes, i ended up just booking room only and they did not ask this. I called 1800 BEASTAR and booked directly through that,. On the previous call they transferred me to universal vacations and that is where they asked me that information. Hopefully that is not confusing.

Do you or don't you have to know the Company name that provided to card?

I need to know this info. too! I don't wanna use the discount only to be told that I have to pay full price. I planned to book online through universal. Are they going to need this info when I arrive???
