OT Prayers and PD please! UPDATE PG. ONE

This is totally OT, but I wanted to come to my WISH buddies to ask for prayers, and PD for my niece and her unborn baby.

My niece is 21 weeks pregnant and has just had a scan, which revealed that the baby's heart isn't developing normally. She is going for another scan tomorrow, which will show the baby's heart in more detail. So we are hoping that there will be some good news. However my niece has been told to prepare for the worst. Hopefully we will know more tomorrow.

My niece had the scan on Tuesday, unfortunately the news wasn't good. There is a major problem with the babies left ventricle. My niece is being induced tomorrow, she is now 22 weeks pregnant. The baby is expected to live for a short while, so she will be able to hold him, and take some photos, and hand and foot prints. Which I'm sure will help her a little with the grieving process.

Right now it is difficult to know what to do or say!

My thoughts and prayers are with your niece and the baby. I pray that all will be fine. I know the terrible fear and heartache she is going through. I went through the same experience with my first child at 23 weeks. Unfortunately for us, things didn't work out well. There were also other problems with our baby. But that was 14 yrs ago and medicine has come so far. I pray that all will be well for her. :hug: for the entire family.

I just saw this thread.................oh, my heart just aches. It aches. Catherine, please know that I will be praying for your niece and her little one. I can't even imagine what is going through her mind and in her heart.............it must be so heavy.

Something has probably happened by now, I'm so sorry I didn't see this earlier. Let us know. I'm praying a miracle happens.
