I had posted in Jeffs message about his upcoming trip to Florida that I was going to try and sabbotage Paul, sort of like Trina and kids did to Jeff. Well it didnt work so I just went full force and direct.
I NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!!!!! :) :)
Pauls reply.....find us something cheap and we can go:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:
Now I ask you..."what do you think the codes in the Sunday paper are for...?"
So we arrive at Pop Century for a long weekend on the 13th of May. Got airfare for an outrageous 100.00 round trip (w/0 taxes) rooms for $74 a night, already have passes.....so hey I say this is as cheap as it gets.
:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:
So gang in 3 1/2 weeks I am outta here....:wave2: :wave2:
Thanks Trina for the idea!!!

Ok, there is nothing that will wake a guy up in a cold sweat faster than seeing his wife's name on a post title. All I could think was, "uh oh, what did I do now?"
That is totally cool that you are going to be in Walt Disney World! Not to mention you will be there for Star Wars Weekend. We just miss that so I am kind of disappointed so you will have to come back and report how cool it was.
Now the hard part comes, you have to deal with the kids every day telling you what they want to do when they get there. I think Dakota has a list as tall as he is of what he plans to do when he gets to the park.
All I can get out of Trina is that this is not going to be a pin trading extravaganza. I am not going to spend all of my time doing pins. Then she follows that up by saying I need to get everyone's lanyards ready to go and that the one thing we HAVE to do no matter what is take the kids to meet Scoop. I think she is turning into a closet pin chick.
I can't wait to see you guys again!

This was a very last minute trip and I cannot wait. I wish we could be there the same time as Jeff and family, or Eeyores family....wow how cool would that be.
Here is the best part, we will only have one of the three kids in tow, the girls will be at college and at work......so Anthony gets to be the one deciding everything. He is very excited about that. His plans are as follows:
Turkey Leg
MK
and lots and lots of pool time. More pool than parks!!!
Paul and I are in it for the relaxation and time away together. So I could care less, afterall I will be at WDW....:) no matter how many times I ride Buzz Lightyear its better than being at work:):):)
And Jeff.....Trina is right.....we aren't doing pins either....well except for maybe Anthonys lanyard.lol!

Ruthie,
You get airfare from airlines. Let me know if I can help you with any other vocabulary words. I have a calendar with a bunch of them on it.

Ruthie, AirTran had a recent two day sale out of BWI just before Easter. Southwest had matching fares, also, out of BWI. I'm heading out on AirTran just for the day to go to a bridal shower :). If it weren't for the sale, I'd be staying home :).

Ruthie, I'm not sure we want Jeff to share THOSE calendar vocabulary words on this family board :)!

It's a shame you won't be there the middle of June when we are there! I need some friends to help me out.

How did I miss that airfare? Delta is running a $123 fare right now, but $100 is phenominal.
Are you going to be able to go to the Lorain Pin Meet on the 8th? If so, I hope to see you there.

You may have to bite the bullet and drive up to BWI to get the better fares.
Or, I guess you could go to Ohio and leave from there.

Ok I don't get it, are single women that dirty that other women feel the need to hose them down with water before the get married? Some things I will never understand.

Jeff, women "shower" the bride-to-be with gifts, not water (geesh, didn't you learn anything when your daughter got married :)!?). And some things men just will never understand, so don't even bother trying - women are right, so just be accepting of that FACT!

And Ruthie & Cindy will aprreciate the gift I am giving - a scrapbook of family recipes. It has been a very time consuming project, but it has also been fun! Beauregard is proofreading my final pages right now.

Well that explains why Trina and Ashley freaked out when I turned the garden hose on them as they left the house to go to the shower. I always thought it was weird that they went to someone else's house to take a shower in the first place. I just figured Trina didn't want to get her own bathroom dirty. Huh, what do you know...
And Judith, please don't say the "S" word. If I see one more embellishment, eyelet, decorative border or multi-colored pen I think I am going to go crazy. Going to the scrapbook store ranks right up there with shopping for fabric. I think I would rather stick pins without backs on my lanyard than having to determine the finer points of 12 X 12 paper that matches the background of a photo that has been categorized in a box by date and people who are in the picture.

They probably went to someone else's house to use the bathroom because you turned off the water to save money for the wedding :)!

Jeff, we love "S" in our house! Beauregard is very good with colors & helps with "our" projects. Besides it compliments his photography (just asked the neighbors who asked for "a" picture & he shot a roll of film!). Now that I "S" I spend less time & money in the Hallmark Store (except they do have acid free stickers!) & on Disney pins (hey, I must be saving money!). Ok, yes, I do spend money in my two LSS (local scrapbook stores).

Airfare.....from Akron Canton Airport just outside Cleveland on Delta, now of course the price I quoted did not include the taxes. So add that on and it doesnt sound quite as good. LOL!!
Judith, ...you know I love the gift you are taking to the shower. It sounds awesome.
Jeff.....hmmmm so the ladies in the house do some cropping do they. Well now have they seen the new EK Success 3D disney stickers. They are a must have:earseek: :earseek: absolutely perfect for those WDW pix you will have when you return. And I must say that Trina and I would get along perfectly, and would have loads to talk about. Oh and pass this along too.....Creative Memories is releasing a 7x7 book with a Mickey on the front May 1st. I know its not the 12x12 size we all love but its perfect for those character shots, or autograph and character pictures. Not that I want to spend your money or anything.
You must get your wife on the Dis board and get her posting with us girls over on the Cooking and Crafting and scrapbooking page. We would love to have her and her ideas......another brain to pick.
By the way did I mention Paul made me a entire scrapbooking /computer room when our oldest moved out. .....maybe I should email this idea right to the boss......Oh Trina!!!! I have an idea for that empty bedroom.....lol:wave2: :wave2:

I think this is where I am not supposed to say, "hmmm, that's pretty slim pickings." So just so everyone is on the same page, I didn't type that nor did I think that nor will I ever tell Trina that I even read this thread. I think Sgt. Schultz said it best, "I know nothing!"

This was totally not good. I have spent the past 2 days in a hard labor camp because of this thread. Fortunately I had a great pair of dancing shoes so I was able to smooth things over with minimal impact. I did have to promise an awesome dinner at Chef Mickey's for Mother's Day and I had to promise that I would find Scoop and let the kids meet him. (I was not about to tell her that finding Scoop was at the top of my list of things to do anyway). Finding Scoop, I loved that movie.

Here's hoping this posting finds you. I believe I posted once but I am not sure if you received it. Many moons ago you made me the loveliest lanyard card. I still wear it on all of my pin trading ventures. I went into the hosptial shortly after I received it and was off the comuter for a few months. I am planning a trip to WDW next Nov and getting all of my traders ready to go. I came on this site to see what was new in the pin traders world and I saw your name. SOOOOO, if you are the wonderful, creative man who made my lanyard card please accept my heartfelt appreciation. Penny aka Chaos Cent.:worship: :happy2:

Hi Penny!
Glad to hear from you and glad you liked the lanyard card. Wow, this is a first. I have never had one of my lanyard cards put someone in the hospital before. I'll have to start including a warning on all cards I send out. Have fun on your trip in November. You'll have to tell us all about it.
