weird National question

I made reservations way back for our upcoming south Flordia trip. With all the hype, naturally I checked and finally got our 9 day minivan reservation down to $223.00 all inclusive So I know that is an awesome rate. But it appears I did not go thru the enerald club for some reason, and there is no way to enter my member # so I called and they could not even come anywhere near my rate.

A note was added to my file to add the EC #, but my question is will we get to pick our car on the emerald reserve aisle? I have to go to the counter because of a coupon anyway.

Go back online, sign into Emerald Club, change car type to MiniVan and change service to Emerald Reserve.
Make another ressie, if you like the rate, confirm and print new ressie.
After making new ressie, stay online and cancel original ressie.
With Emerald Reserve, you can by pass the counter.

winterman, I tottaly understand what you are saying, but the price I come up with doing it that way is over 500.00. So I guess I will just wait and see. I can't imagine being denied emerald reserve when I get there and explain it:confused: Athough, I have known to be wrong in the past:D

Have you tried calling Emerald Club customer service as opposed to reservations? They may be able to switch you to EA or ER service.

I believe there is now a dedicated Emerald Club line at the counter. You will still get to pick your van from the mini-van row. No matter what type of reservation you have, you get to pick your car, National does not assign specific cars at the counter to anyone. All they do is mark the car size on your folder, then you go to the garage and pick, then hand the folder and hang tag from the car to the attendent in the booth on the way out. All Emerald Reserve does is allows you to bypass the counter and get your paperwork done at the booth.
