This is very addicting! I'm thinking of adding 25 points cash before the price goes up May 4. My question is, is 25 points the minimum? And with an addon that small can I do magical beginnings? I have such little free time this yr I won't be able to use all 180 points I already have, nevermind 25 more! I will call my guide on Monday, but I figured ya'll would know!

Thanks!

Yes 25 points is the minimum and no you don't get MB with a 25 point purchase. You don't necessarily have to rush to buy another 25 points before the price goes up if you don't need the points this year. Another option is to wait until you think you might actually need the points and buy a small resale. Check out Timesharestore.com. I've small resales on that site. This way you don't have to buy anything until you need it and the resale price is going to be cheaper than what your going to pay now. The only thing I'm not sure about is what closing costs are involved in a small resale. Good luck.

I checked the official DVC website for you. MB is available when you do add-on's of 100 points, or more.::MickeyMo

I am a new owner and new to this board. What is Magical Beginnings?

Magical Beginnings is a program available to people buying their points directly through DVC. They will offer to buy back your first years points, if you are not going to be visiting a DVC resort the first year. In effect, this lowers your initial purchase cost per point.

This is a very simple explanation. But, using SSR's new $95 per point price, MB would lower your purchase cost per point into the $80's. MB is not available when you are buying a resale from some company other than DVC.

Frequently, people will buy into DVC when they are already on vacation at WDW, and would not want to return again for at least a year...so MB is a nice option for them. ::yes::

Thanks for the information. We had purchased from DVC and did have them buy back the points, now we're missing them already! Once you go, you just always want to come back!!
