I think we knew it was coming.
I only hope that they will draw upon the <i>legacy</i> and camouflage the detectors in some imaginative way.
Of course this comment always gets me:

What a dizaster it would be when they have a pin event inside the parks, could be hours to get in, if they need to search each pin bag..
Our Local station here in Tampa said they would be testing at night at first.

OBVIOUSLY this guy has not seen all the rehashing of technology used in Disney rides these days!

WDW has actually had medal detectors since shortly after Sept. 11th. They just haven't used them. All of security was recently trained on the hand held detectors. I have not heard anything about using the walk through ones.
